    I have to say foz that i do agree with thatfellow regarding the maintanence of such lists is a pain in the ass although sly freeview does not open much so it is not much of a task to maintain this card is it.


    I use sid lists mainly on foreign packages like satbg because you get hit with requests on the same caid/channel from different sats/packages that does not exist on your card.


    0500 packages is definately at least one caid that should be given this attention!!!!



    Using a sid list or an ecm header whitelist which i would recommend on a sly freeview card is something that should be done because of the amount of requests that card will get and also due to the limited number of channels the card has possibilities to receive.

    Problems with text support & ViX are well documented (Especially on WOS) so you would want to turn them on as the person who made the comment suggests & then prey that they work.


    Well...as stated mate this is a backup image so god knows what could be turned on or off on the image..i dont know if it is on or off by default on vix as i steer clear of that software as its crap.(my opinion)


    I recommend peeps start from scratch and edit their own image


    Good old pheonix tho...i see you still have many fans roflmfao.......i wonder if its possible that a forum might exist today where you have not rubbed someone up the wrong way?

    You wont get many people advertising it because there is not many people who know how to do it plain and simple and as you say it would be rare for someone to say they have a dumped card////.the card revision i was talking about mate was for nagra2 cards..the revision on nagra 3 cards will not have changed because of the new security...nothing can be done with nagra 3 cards..what you and many others are looking for has to be done via other routes which i have already explained.


    And you are correct about your latest upc cards being possible to share... since they were sent out practically it has been possible and done!


    sync that polish guy you are talking about was jailed because he had extracted details from thousands of boxes/polsat mostly but also other packages like digi tv/spains canal+ and many more nagra 3 systems...he was also actively on the net advertising his services so its no wonder we all know about this idiot.. but i would certainly not scaremonger anyone about getting details from ones box lolz...


    You are right about 1 thing tho regarding not sending your official box off to anyone you dont know or trust as you could end up in some soapy bubbles with your provider if it all goes pete tong and a hard one to explain that your box and card are both missing.


    What you need to remember is that the box and card is worth nothing to anyone...you can buy a virmin box and card on fleebay for buttons :)


    Unfortunately if people dont know anyone that they trust to do this then its a case of diy....good luck

    I acknowledged what he said about the hours apart bit...main problem is people with shit boxes expect the world and it just wont happen...it has been spoken about since these crap boxes were put on the market that the epg would not work properly on most platforms and in particular slyuk so maybe you need to wind your neck back in...better still throw the box in the bin if it does not do what a proper linux or official stb does...ever heard the saying that if you cant afford something then maybe you are not supposed to have it!!!

    I use vhannibles settings also and i think espn has not been updated yet on his settings...you are best to type in the correct frequency on the transponder yourself and it will find it

    There might be more but i have not checked in months


    I also agree with what was said about creating your own foz because it wont take long due to there not being many channels..i made one for sly freeview and ***uk..sly uk one was a tour of duty let me tell you..there is no point me sending you mine as i have disabled mine for the time being as it needs updating.


    Temporarily you can use an ecm whitelist until you edit a sid list but tbvh you might be best to look into an ecm header whitelist instead of a sid list!!

    upgrade your firmware as stated...you also have to realise that a 7 day epg is problematic and does not work on these boxes//only now and next...i,m afraid i have to be blunt here and inform you to get yourself a decent box if you want reliable features like this!!!

    It has been possible to run a cable server since way back when cs started but most of the encryptions used on cable networks were compromised so nobody ever done it..Well that is until kudelski upped the anti on their security and up it they certainly did!! Rom 180 (mer000) are being used in Spain and in the UK which has been installed with specific new chips meaning a dual encryption(seca and nagravision) otherwise known as (Merlin) and will probably never be compromised which is why kryptview and starview boxes were being sold in the thousands and still are in the UK and roi from 2009 onwards..i,m not sure if the starviews are still working but both systems have been raided but that's not the only reason i would not touch either of them with a bargepole.


    The information to do it is freely available on the world wide web and has been for years but the majority of it will be in Spanish which you will need to translate..you also wont find much information on uk forums regarding this which is probably a good thing considering the state of sly cs atm.

    The majority of you would probably be best to take thatfellows advice and just send your box off to someone that offers such a service if you cant retrieve the info via jtag or as i mentioned in post 8. This is certainly not for the faint hearted but of course it is possible.


    The programmer and socket required to read the bga chip will set you back anything from £400 to a grand depending which device you buy and you would also require a professional infrared rework station...after all that if you are successful in this you will also require someone to extract the keys for you.


    It would also be interesting to know if anyone has what we call nagra 2 cards that are lying about in a drawer because as i said they can be dumped and would be nice to have a gander even if a dump of the card is meaningless..this will of course only be Irish members as those type of revisions were skipped in the UK..Certain n2 revisions can be dumped using certain unloopers that were used for glitching into n1 cards but don't even bother messing with the latest nagra cards as the cards will laugh at an unlooper....

    You need the correct boxkey/rsa key and camid in the config for that card to work.


    There are a number of ways to retrieve that information/camid can be found and converted from the card number


    1: you can get the rsa details if you have the nagra1 boxkey with a script and a card reader
    2: from the nagra2 card(if you have 1)
    3: dump from the bga chip on the stb which will require extracting.


    Also best to use sbox and not oscam with nagravision cards.

    Personally i use both wincsp and putty instead of dcc but its your choice...putty is great for any linux commands...wincsp i use for ftp transfers/editing...select ftp protocol in wincsp for your dm500 tho and you can save the session also.


    I,m not sure if there is a function in dcc to hide passwords and neither do i care as i dont use it sorry.

    Sly subscriptions should usually update shortly after a monthly direct debit has been confirmed allowing entitlements between 6 to 8 weeks...however this is quite dependent on your cards rom revision!!! Sly always were expecting the card to be in the sly hd box but due to their new changes they have obviously upped the anti(pardon the pun) and could have slowed emms down expecting all cards to possibly recieve emms on a dailly/weekly basis so this is probably why peeps who are trying to update a card recently are having bother because they are trying to update a card at the last minute and some may also be using messed up configs so its no wonder why really!!!



    The only emm i would allow through with caid 0963 at this time is unique and i would also only use mgcamd1.35a with a properly configured mg_cfg

    I think a staff member will be along at some point to ask you to introduce yaself...anyway


    Not entirely sure why you would need to hide your own passwords but you can use these programs below buddy.


    Use wincsp instead of dcc for ftp transfers etc... and use putty if you require telnet commands...both hide passwords...NOTE!!! putty will NOT show any password while it is being entered! but that is ok as long as the correct password is entered.

    Yes!!! and that would be a very nice system indeed. Better than my 2007 setup thats for sure.


    The motor with metal gears ensures that the motor will last much longer when subjected to high winds..mines has plastic gears:( so i need to upgrade!!


    You will need a twin lnb if you own a receiver with dual tuners and you will also require twin cabling(shotgun cable)

    Its a lot to take in mate but i can see you understand it.


    You can add a motor to almost any dish you own or have previously bought!!!!


    The point is trying to get a deal with a full pack so to speak////motor/dish/lnb/bracket/consumables===cable/bolts/fplugs etc etc//maybe even a receiver if you need 1.


    If you already have a decent reciever then i think its just a motorised dish pack you need.

    No not really!!! that is a fixed dish kit so in other words it would sit static on 1 satellite unless you moved it manually which would be a real pain in the ass.


    Are you just having a play around as your sat dish if zone 2 is fine for most fixed satellites.


    If your wanting a little motorised system to automatically adjust then you are after a diseqc system.


    I would recommend a 1 meter or 1.1 dish and technomate or dark motor for this.The forum sponsor should be able to help you here with this type of system on request although i cant see this unless on a receiver deal but i might need to visit specsavers. that said a 90cm diseqc motorised system will also be very good


    Be aware certain councils prohibit the use of satellite dishes above the size of 90 cm but thats mostly if the said dish is installed in full view and this will depend on what your los (line of site is)// chimney/back garden etc should have no limits
