ferdi there is nothing wrong with complex configurations of an oscam server if you actually know what you are doing, however you seem to be making life rather difficult for yourself chris2005

Get rid/disable anticascading as you dont need that with 0963 cards..

Also using a services file is fine but it depends what you want to use it for/// and that is to either block services not in your package or to allow services in your package// so it depends on what package you have subscribed to on whether a services file is required or how you want to use one..i use an ecm header whitelist on my 0963 card but its a small package so its easy to maintain.

Either of these lists if used should be made personally by yourself and adapted for your package as its pointless using one plastered on a blog site/forum...you would be as well to leave it out altogether if you are unsure of how services files/ecm lists work !

The Data you require is stored in the bga chip within your official Zon reciever which you will need to locate/remove and dump...then you have to extract the data from this dump..all of which is not for the faint hearted and also requires some expensive tools.

All of the information on how to do it is on the world wide web and mostly in Spanish so you will have to do some research and in your case maybe some soul searching:)

Also even although this pen works on your duo i would maybe try another pen or reformat it to fat32 with hp formatting tool.

And make sure you are installing the correct bootloader for your vu solo..i have attached that so install that first and then try a reflash.

To avoid large size(>48M) image update problem, please update CFE of your Solo.

** NOTE ** : This Bootloader(CFE) should be used for Solo only. Otherwise it will crash the box.

** NOTE ** : CFE update is not needed for Uno and Ultimo.

** Brief explanation of Solo's bootloader update **

1. Unzip the solo_cfe_2.0_usb.zip to USB stick.(There should be /vuplus/solo/cfe_cfe_auto.bin)

2. Insert USB stick into the USB port of solo and power on the box.

3. It takes just a few secs to update.

4. If solo's front led blinks continuously, restart box.

5. To proceed with image update, you should delete the cfe_cfe_auto.bin at /vuplus/solo in USB stick once bootloader update is finished.

Communicating with a receiver via the null modem cable route is usually only used for correcting bootloader issues/bad flash or clone problems for 1 reason or another...So this could well be a hardware problem within the units motherboard.

When you reflash the box and connect it via scart the box will automatically assume a hdmi connection is being used and it can take upward of 30 seconds before the box will revert to composite settings so be patient incase there is something wrong with your hdmi output/input or the hdmi lead itself.

To find your box ip to test telnet use dcc and search/// or look in your router for attached devices.

Not sure if you are actually just curious or wanting to do this but i see no real gain in this unless you want to be the BigIAm sending pointless messages to your friends tv,s.

Lots of security issues with this especially when you do not know what you are doing so i would suggest you look at 3 main factors security wise.

1: As pointed out by Master G make sure your friends boxes have the default telnet password changed to something only yourself/and your friends know.
2: Change default webif port which is 80 to something much higher like (41080) Example only /////this new webif port will be what you want to open on your friends routers.
3: In the webif plugin change (Enable Http Authentication) to /yes/ this is normally set to no.

This image above is one i used on a dm800 and i had no difficulties whatsoever with crossepg/infact i think i was able to install crossepg without the installation of tspanel.

I am not entirely sure why you are trying to compare transponders and frequencies with a delayed ecm tbh because one has nothing to do with the other!

I do not know what your setup history is and nor do I care to venture into that but you should be using oscam and if you are then look in your config settings for prefer local cards etc..... Without your configs or setup status its anyone's guess whether your configs are a disaster or whether your cache clients are the issue...i Would however tend to go with the latter on that one tho:)Sorry

I think most people use usb sticks for flash expander which should be formatted to ext3 not ext4.. what is it you need this for as i was able to install tsmedia and many other plugins in flash on an old dm800..i would also be careful what you are doing with this plugin as you could mess the box up.

I would also only use the disk utility to format anything as the device manager might screw things up with your hdd..i had this problem with my mates dm800 anyway...also use swap file once your hdd is setup as that should stop most green screens too.

Bit baffled as to what you are actually trying to do? if you are trying to compare slys boxes with what portuguese providers use then their is no comparison between the two !

And you will not get the boxkey or rsa by converting the serial number of the unit..nds do not use boxkeys they use a reciever id which can be converted and is why every man and their dog is trying to do it now.

With zon/ meo they are using nagra 3 so its not so easy mate and i doubt you will retrieve this information especially if you think you can retrieve it from a barcode pmsl.
