I now solve this issue by just hilighting the programme I want to record then press 1 for "Record Once" each time - just make sure you record it on the right channel.

    Hi everyone

Well It just so happens the error I mention is nothing to do with Oscam at all (I don't think) but it may have, or it may be the image itself.

I am using OpenVix 3.0 as you may know, but I also have an analysing program that will determine how the stream is laid out for each channel on each mux.

I had a burst of inspiration just to check this to see how the streams is laid out in the mux.

    And - hey presto!

It appears that the channels that you don't get sound on have the audio and video PIDs loaded the wrong way round (upside down).

It is not that the PIDs are reversed - that is not the issue - it is the fact that any channel with video first, then audio works perfectly if you receive the service.

However, if the sound (and/or teletext and sound) come BEFORE the video inside the stream, you get picture and no sound.

See attachment to show a transponder where two channels operate on the same mux but LFCTV works and Universal +1 does not!

I have attached a jpg. Please zoom in on it to see it properly if it is too small.

(BTW is this an issue with the image of OpenVix 3.0? If so, I need to change it.

Given this this is in the wrong forum but if it is moved, I may not find it.

    Help would be appreciated. Thanks

Absolutely spot on mate if all say H (HORIZONTAL) channels were down or all V channels and only one polarity was affected then you could bet its LNB failure but have you a meter you could use to test the polaritys and output of reciever just in case your reciever is outputting wrong voltage or easier still have you a spare reciever to try

At present I do not have a spare receiver to try but will check one more thing later tonight and see if there is a link.

    Thanks so far.

    Hi everyone.

Just to let you know I am now getting sound back on all channels on 11.584 H on 28 East.

My issue appears to be the horizontal muxes I have trouble with in general. Strange that 11.585 H got its sound back.

I notice that Horizontal olarity needs 18V. It may be I am getting low voltage. Can anyone tell me - can this be rectified with tweaking the connection or would it be at the LNB end itself?

    Thanks for your help.

The frequencies you mentioned get stuck for me using oscam9052, I use oscam6666 to resolve this. Could you try that and see how it goes. Also do you experience any channels getting stuck and resuming after 5-10 seconds?

Can you please provide a link for that? I use the tuxbox webif oe2 distribution version. I cannot find your version anywhere. I need to try it to see. Thanks

    Thanks

That is an ancient version. Thanks for the tip though. Just wondered is there any chance that a later version can be configured to fix this error?

A couple of extra frequencies to take account of

    12.070 H
    12.515 H
    12.522 V

But these have many SIDs on them. It appears that it applies only to muxes with more than around 11 services on and not all of them as there are some exceptions.

If anyone can help further, please let me know. Thanks

Last night's change was the first change from Eutelsat 28A to Astra 2F. Astra 2G is not in place yet.

It was happening before the satellite changes. The issue with the Oscam version is that the file I found to download ended .tar.gz whereas the oscam file on the box just is called "oscam", and does not have the full version number or anything. This is in softcams folder. Where do I place the .tar.gz file please?

OK I still have the audio issue despite using 10666. I thought the issue with sound not working properly was to do with PCR not being recognised properly. Some channels it works on some it does not. The only channels I can't get any sound on are those affected that have no alternative audio so it is stuck with just the one sound option. How should the audio sync setting be set? Digital Down mix is off - is that an issue?

As for PCR, if you could manually change PIDs the sound would come back if you removed the video PID and put it back in again, or put in the audio PID first. There are some channels that if you add the VPID you lose the sound. You cannot do this on the TM Twin though. It is usaually related to PCR this sound issue. Any further help would be appreciated.

Just to let you know, some of these channels will give you the sound for about a second then it goes away again and the picture stays running with no audio.

    Thanks

I have OpenVix 3.0 on Enigma 2 on a TM Twin OE. Some of the frequencies where |I have issues with sound are:

    11.261 H
    11.307 H
    11.343 H
    11.585 H
    11.875 H
    12.266 H

and ther are others. It does not affect ALL encrypted channels on each mux necessarily - but it is mainly on muxes with more than about 11 channels on.

Clear and any channels with AC3 are OK.

I wonder does anyone else have an issue with sound not clearing on numerous encrypted channels on 28 East? I currently use E2 with DVBAPI config but an older version of Oscam 9052 which worked perfectly until recently. Only issue is the sound problem on some channels.

It appears that all clear channels are fine but I have read that Oscam MAY be the issue. It appears that the bug occurrs on transponders that have numerous encrypted channels. Has anyone else had this issue and is it oscam that is the issue or something different?

More precisely it is not that the sound does not clear at all, it is on channels with only one soundtrack available - an issue usually related to PCR PIDs not linking properly. If two sound tracks are available, you can change to the other sound track and back again and both will work, but on channels with only one sound track, you can't get the sound. Has anyone else had this issue with later versions of oscam or can you please explain what might be the problem.

    Thanks

    Hello

I currently use Technomate TM Twin OE using OpenVix 3.0 OS

I also have Autobouquets running, plus Cross EPG etc

As I am partially sighted, I wonder can anyone help me.

Our television is a Panasonic 32E6B which has voice guidance when you press menu and speaks the EPG to you and tells you what is on when you change channel etc.

But this is OK for Freeview - but no good for satellite.

What I want to know is if you can have voice guidance on a TomTom or something similar, surely it is possible to use a Linux voice guidance plugin.

Does one exist, or does anyone know of any voice guidance program that will work on the Technomate?

The plugins have .sh suffixes and .py or .pyo

If there are any Linux voice guidance plugins please can you let me know, and also do any of them let you choose the voice?

Thanks very much for your help and I look forward to hearing from you.

I am able to edit this with xml editor but have now deleted the bit that says what to record.

If I then copy back the edited xml, will I then have an empty record or no timers set?

I did this with a news programme while I WAS AWAY AND NOW CANNOT GET RID OF IT.

    tHANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP.

Looks very muck like that yes. However, what about *** Sports F1 and *** Sports F1 HD? They used to have their own entity I thought but I believe that is being merged into the *** Sports pack soon. I think also some of these "FTV?" ones may relate to Sony Movies channel which is FTV and was added after the FSFS packages existed.

Also, does anyone know the code for the RTE channels in Ireland, and is there a different code for Zee TV (ViewAsia)? I assume also the Adult channels have their own codes also.

    Thanks.

thanks for that. How long do you think it should take? I have an executable copy of Vix 3.0 on my memory stick which I will do later on

By ABM that is Autobouquets maker - I thought that was different to Autobouquets, no?

The configs I think are cccam 2.1.3 with Oscam 1.20 but that is not what I have at present.

Thanks Steve. I will be out for the next hour or so - but will be able to do this later this evening if we can do it together - TeamViewer will be needed - I have that so I can send you the ID etc later this evening. The box is ued on the main TV so will need to be done later this evening when we are not watching as a family.

It is easy for me to get vix 3.0 working but it will have nothing to go with it. If we can agree a time later this evening we need to do this properly.

For my box I will require:

    1: Refreshed image
2: oscam with CCCam 2.1.3 configured for my card
    3: Autobouquets Lrazer version plugin
    4: 7 Day EPG plugin
    5: OSD settings plugin

Aparenty I had 5 versions of oscam on the box and they appear to be clashing. It works but whether it updates the card I have no idea.

Look forward to hearing form you. Thanks in advance.
