Any line with a # in front of it will be ignorded by cccam. This is the same with any clines you have, if you want to use them you need to remove the # or they simply will not work.
The same goes for any flines you have.

h**p://w*w.netgear.co.uk/rangemax_wirelessrouter_wpn824.php
Friend just offered me this one...
Its lying around unused at his place!
Will it work?
I can't see why not, as long as the menu will allow it to be put into 'bridge mode'. -
I'd just like to add that, between the two of you, a good choice has been made - especially the lnb. You won't go wrong with that lot at all.
;p

How does that work mate?
That's what they call 'homeplugs'. They use your house wiring and convert it into a lan. I use them through out the entire house, easy to set up and faster than wireless for video streaming imho. -
Hmmmmm i'm sure the multiroom card would work ya!
dm500 acting as server would be grand too...
You'd get good shares for 19 and 13 with your sky uk card i'm sure!
You're on the right track mate!
I'm not so sure that a multiroom would work. I'm sure (or it used to be) that Sly's t & c's say that both Sly boxes must be connected to the same phone line to stop the cards being used at different locations. It may have changed so it would be worth checking out. -
Mine isn't that loud at all, at least no one has complained so far. It's on the garage roof outside daughters bedroom and she can barely hear it. No idea what make or wether is has metal or plastic gears - but it's quiet.

10 is only asking to look at your cccam config to see where the problem is, point this out to you so that you can put it right. Yes, you will be able to do it yourself, but it's a learning curve. That is what's good about this forum - we like to help each pther out when we have the issues we sometimes face. That's what makes it a wonderful place to meet.

I paid good money for an invacom 0.3db LNB! To be honest the cheap lemon one i replaced with the invacom performed better!
While it's true that having a low noise figure is a good thing what most people tend to forget is the overall gain (or amplification) figure of the lnb. This figure is equally important to get the best from your dish. There are some remarkable quotes of 0.2 - 0.1 db but perform terribly due to the low gain factor. You really need to do your 'homework' and read through the specs to see what your getting for your money. I'm a firm believer that 'you get what you pay for'.;p

Only a low spec machine is needed and when all set up there is no need for a monitor or keyboard. All changes can be done by remote access through another (windows) machine.

The speed of your broadband is not as important as the quality of the connection. The average sized server will be more than happy at 4 meg as time is more important than speed. You could subscribe to a fast service but if your 'ping' time is slow then your ecm times will suffer and your share will be glitchey at times.

Well, there's the spec sheet earlier in the thread. They are around ?20 for the single, ?30 for the twin and ?45 for the quad. Best to google 'inverto black ultra' as they can be got cheaper. Make sure it's the ULTRA not ECO as the eco is cheap tat compared to the ultra.
-
The beauty of this lnb is the length of its collar. It allows for plenty of lateral (in / out adjustment) to allow for perfect focusing of the satellite signal on the lnb receiving window. This means you can squeeze every drop of available signal out of your dish.
-
So basically i've a 90cm dish.. It only barely gets a squeak of 0.8 w and 16 east now with a bog standard lidl lnb!
If i go for one of these it will increase my signal gain a small bit?
It would be well worth the investment, it's made a big difference to my 16 E. -
Inverto Ultra Black is a very impressive lnb for its price (?15 - ?20 ish)
Ok, it's noise fig is 0.2 db but look at its gain. It really made a difference on my weaker channels:-High gain (60dB), low noise (0.2dB) universal single LNB. Ideal for areas of poor reception.
* Excellent Isolation – extremely high cross-pol performance
* Very Low Spurious Levels
* Superior Noise Figure (0.2dB typ)
* Higher Conversion Gain (60 dB min.)
* Ultimate Reliability
* Low Band Input Frequency Range: 10.7~11.7 GHz, Low Band Output Frequency Range: 950~1950 MH, LO Frequency: 9.75 GHz
* High Band Input Frequency Range: 11.7~12.75 GHz, High Band Output Frequency Range: 1100~2150 MHz LO Frequency: 10.6 GHz
* LO Phase Noise @ 10K Hz -90 dBc/Hz max.
* Cross Talk: 23 dB min.
* DC Power: 120 mA max. @ 11 – 20V
* Working Temperature -30~+60 ?C
* Output Impedance (connect to STB) 75 O
* Output connector F-type (female) -
I would certainly go for the Inverto ultra, I changed to one of those a while back and it made such a difference to the quality of my signal. Some of the channels on 16 E, for example, where a bit hit and miss are now perfectly watchable at all times with the inverto.

That's why the boxes are locking out - they think they are in the wrong place..
-
This is also available for Android phones ((Google Android push to talk). Uses your data allowence but don't yet know how hungry it is. Have it on my San Francisco, just need to get someone I know to test it with.

the cooling fan is the only problem with the dm 800 clone you should remove the power from the motherboard!
all fans will die after a few months!
and if you put in a harddisk just cool your box with a laptop cooler on usb!
they can be bought at DealExtreme: Search for usb cooling fan (200 products in 19 categories)
they ship for free!! (am i aloud to post a link?)Links are fine as long as they are helpful to the post, not obscene, illegal or to competitors sites.
