According to mg_cfg, it looks as though it is possible to set up logging for MGcamd....
I have set:-
L: { 04 } /tmp/mgcamd.log
assuming that all MG activity would be logged to /tmp/mgcamd.log
So far nothing appears, so I guess MGcamd isn't working at all.
What do I need to check to make sure my installation is working?
I have been trying to get mgcamd working for nearly two weeks and don't seem to be getting anywhere...
I'm still not sure how cccam and mgcamd relate to each other.... there seems to be so much conflicting information.
Can I use mgcamd without cccam, and if I have set it up how do I tell if it is working?
Previously I set up a ***BOX F5 with CCcam and that seemed reasonably straightforward, but with the Openbox S6000HD running Enigma 2 and Blackhole I am going round in circles not getting anywhere.
Is there any step by step guide for using mgcamd especially for newbies?

After further experimentation I have found that Blackhole 2.0.0 works OK
There is currently NO SUPPORT for VU+ clones on this site

Excuse me, but AFAICS this particular forum is for the Openbox S6000HD which is a VU+ clone!!!
Nothing at all came on...
However I have since managed to get up and running with an old experimental version of Blackhole from April 2011.
Maybe newer versions of Blackhole won't work with Vu+ clones...
These receivers are very poorly made - the USB ports are not lined up properly with the casing - don't force in the USB and ensure that the USB drive is lined up properly with the port.

I had a look and it did help but only a little.... First time I switched box off and removed usb stick after the light turned red. When switching back on 'no signal' was displayed on the screen. After reading the guide above I switched the box off after the blue light started flashing. Now the 'no signal' disappears but the screen goes blank.
I tried flashing images for Blackhole, OpenVix and OpenPli, all with the same result.
Not sure what else to try. What I find very confusing is the number of images available... Maybe I need a Solo2 rather than Solo....
I can't find a usable userid/password combination to login remotely. Can anyone suggest how I can resolve this?
Where abouts do I find BBC iPLAYER once it is installed? Is it under TSPanel?
I have an Openbox S6000HD which, according to the Information on the menu is using VU+SOLO(1400E8).
I would like to try out Blackhole, although I'm currently running OpenPli. Is there a specific version of Blackhole for my STB? I did try one archive and followed the instruction but no update took place.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

As for mgcamd - is that specific to a particular image?
I have downloaded mgcamd 1.38a but am unsure as to where to copy the files in the archive.... the keys have been copied to /var/keys
My cccamd.list starts with a C: if that answers your question.
I have recently bought an Open S6000HD which runs Enigma2 and OpenPli but being new to all this I am having great difficulty getting it set up especially to view Hotbird channels...
My supplier said I will need to use cccam +mgcamd, but I have no idea how to set it up.
I have read various guides but am still very confused. Can someone help me out please.
