OpenPLi GCC-15.1 with feed server

I used for this purpose the feed server built by raed for his two images

OpenTS and OpenBH for DM 920 UHD and extracted the common trunk!

The hard platform being identical for the two receivers ... I estimated that

his is possible!

For verification I installed the image for DM 900 UHD ... after Start Wizard I was offered to

update the image ... 144 modules! normally I wouldn't have accepted it because of the major

risk that it wouldn't Boot anymore! but I did this and everything was OK! I finished with a

Reboot and I'm up to date!!!

I highly recommend you do the same!

The feed server appears as a normal one this time! and it actually works!

AUDIO on Dream ONE/TWO i think is the Admin

W@Rp ! I've seen his work on Dreambox 4.9 modules so maybe

will give us a hand to solve this issue on OpenPLi OE Core Dream ONE/TWO

images ! I've done an experiment ... from OpemWebIF I've streamed a FTA

chanel to PC ! this will send a .m3u8 file to Downloads and installed VLC will

play it automatic ! surprise ... with AUDIO ! this means audio exists in the

TS but nobody give it to system player ! or system player does not

know where to look after it !

Fresh builds using raed script !

Well I don't think this is mandatory ! for some months I've worked with raed

to make Dream ONE script and generated OpemPLi image working ! It was a

success ... the image is working as any other ( DM520, DM7080 or DM920 )

even he does not own Dream ONE or TWO ! The only obstacle to use them is

... no AUDIO !

I'm not home now , but as soon as possible , I will generate the two images,

for Dream ONE and TWO , and I will make them public , to prove I'm right !

I don't try to accuse anybody ... I just think that making AUDIO a "TRADE

SECRET" was a bad judgement!

raed is publishing , once in a month , images build on his

OE environment for some Dreambox models ... DM 520 HD

DM 7080 HD and DM 9020 UHD. All these image have the

similar technical basis ...

OE Multiboot actual status

- Dreambox ONE / TWO - GPT Multiboot (DreamOS, OpenE2)

- Dreambox 900 UHD / 920 UHD , Dinobot like - ChkRoot Multiboot

- VU+ 4K - KExec Multiboot

None of them ... are plugins in OpenATV ! and are build to

support STB's witch doesn't have HW Multiboot. All these

Multiboot software are partitioning the EMMC in excess to

accommodate new images !

I've installed and tested intensively :

Dream ONE and ONE Combo ( GPT Multiboot ) ,

VU+Zero 4K and VU+UNO 4K ( KExec Multiboot ) ,

DM 920 UHD and Amiko Viper 4K V30 ( ChkRoot Multiboot )

OpenPLi 8Star uses another build environment as we are using !

and their developers have the "trade secret" for AUDIO !

Well ... I'm not that smart ! very few are ! why banned us to

contribute to the common cause ? even seem very small !

MBI - exactly as I've said ! from public feeds , including OpenATV ,

a new image build for Dream ONE/TWO can be build but is without

AUDIO ! the AUDIO is a "secret of trade" included only in official image !

Less working images ... we all will dye faster as DVB fans !!!

Well .... hard to say ! updates are made at least weekly ! but if

will improve Dutch translation I don't know ! I'm trying to

build a new image whenever something important happen !

for the moment I will test the image in detail ! any error you find

helps !

The home build image is build without feeds ! The feeds I've

used are from fairbird ( raed ) ... image Open BH ! were

not compiled ! so updating image just for curiosity ... could

give such results !

I don't have a server to host the feeds ! is just a HomeBuild as I've said !

The image is simple , is functional in all basic aspects , is fast , so

is good to be used ... I'm afraid does not support experiments !

ChkRoot in not a plugin ! is a Multiboot system embedded

into OpenATV 7.5.1 image starting from 29 Apr 2025 !

You just install it as Base image and follow the rules !

- it creates the EMMC multiboot partitions structure

- populate it with new OpenE2 images ( Flash Online)

- and ensure the Multiboot navigation ( Multiboot Manager )

- some images may need a plugin to navigate ( Multiboot Helper )

Image is still a TEST ! will be released as full image probably at the

end of next week ! sorry ! My DM 900 UHD will arrive till then !

The image is in the form as was build ... "no feeds" !

NO ! this image will not be build for Dream ONE/TWO ! there are

some technical issues .... NO AUDIO ! I've build for ONE , is working

fine ... but NO AUDIO ! this feature is kept as a big secret ... even

this image is not intended for commercial use ! not for glory or

reputation ! just to keep Dream ONE/TWO interest alive !

I-ve decided to assume the paternity of build image ! and to change the stupid

distribution name "nodistro.0" into one reflecting the reality !!! Probably for

Well , partially you have right ! the image is OE based ! but is an OpenPLi as presentation !

and yes ! does not offer alternatives to load online images in multiboot ! that's OATV who

does ! I've loaded it in ChkBoot Multiboot by Flash Online downloads as all other possible

images ! OpenPLi raed is one of them and is working perfect as SLAVE image !

GStreamer 1.26.1, -Python 3.13.3, OpenSSL 3.5.0, Busybox 1.37.0

- the image has a complete feed server

- scans correctly both dvb-s2 and dvb-c

- scans dvb-s2 in "blind scan" mode

- has a functional IPTV support

- decodes everything I asked for ( NCAM preinstalled )

- has ChkRoot support ( Multiboot Manager )

In all the aspects , the image is just an ... OpenPLi !
