  • Can you set your debug loglevel to 128 and paste here a sample ecm packet? It should look something like this in the log:

  • The bytes in red are supposed to indicate the SID this ecm is for:

    Code
    channelId = b2i(2, ecm+i+23);
                ecmSrvid = (channelId >> 4) | ((channelId & 0xF) << 12);

    So, the ECM packet is indicating a SID of 0x000D.
    Not sure of an easy fix other than creating keys for the false SID (000D)

  • Is it any wonder people are getting confused when the key format is being changed.

    On top of this we have people supplying dreambox versions of oscam configs pointing to tuxbox for non dreambox versions. On top of that people with those bloody SH4 boxes have images. Then Oscam have an Oscam-EMU and an Oscemu. People with old/new versions of oscam are patching with new/old versions of Oscam etc.

    The image boys hide the softcam plugin and get you to install it as an IPK. Then you get OLD versions of their cams. Then other users start uploading TAR files.......

    Such a mess. Thanks Joe.

  • Very funny, thanks for the laugh! You sound like an old communist - scared of change and scared of choice. You registered in 2013, but just today learned how to post something. I can see how your Linux box must make you very confused. If after 2 years you still haven't figured it out, it is probably best if you get rid of your Linux box and go back to sitting in your rocker and staring out the window all day. :)

    Your welcome for the laugh.

    You knows its true though. There's a lot of cross posting among SH4/Dream/Vu/PLI/Vix/ATV users. Confusion aside, it is amazing that people haven't bricked their boxes. Thank god for on chip protection these days or people would be sitting in front of a board trying to figure out the jtagging diagram.

    The thanks was genuine, I have followed your posts on a number of fora, but your no Saggiori!

    Now back to my rocker (switch).

  • hello experts pls is there a guide to know if the key is auto updating without waiting till the key is change. i mean to be sure the auto rolling setup on dm800 is working fine

  • Chaps I'm stuck here. I have a key file in place. Any Idea? Thx for any hints

  • Got it working myself ;-) Not the greatest support around here :-(
    API for extended CWs was the problem, default was set to OE 2.2
    After changing it to OE 2.0 the screen went bright.

    All channels working :-)

    While you posted partial logs, you did not post any configs or what you did try. People don't always have time to guess all the things you could possibly be doing wrong. And people also get tired of constantly having to ask people for more information to solve their problems. The more time you take to describe your problem and steps you have taken, the more time people are willing to "donate" to helping you. Also, this section is for files and this thread is about a new version with emphasis on auto-update. You would have been better off posting in the oscam-emu support section in the thread about oscam-emu for dreambox : http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=96574

    But, glad to hear you got it resolved, and a big thumbs up for posting a resolution to the problem which may help others.

  • Ok Joe, will take it to heart and into consideration next time to provide more details. And spot on, just saw your post, your link above. Yes these two settings made the difference yesterday night. Did not mention the stream relay bit yesterday. Should have looked around in the forum, would have saved me lots of time. Nevertheless I can confirm works fine when these default settings are changed.

    Perhaps it is worth while creating a CAM for DM only, with the settings straightend out. I assume a lot of folks might face this issue in future. I went through all these settings since I could not understand why it was not working...

  • Since I have a motor I checked 13 dregrees as well. I extended the key file for the channel bvtv. No luck here, is the CAM supposed to work for that channel as well? The emulator does not pop up on the screen.

  • Do you have a really large SoftCam.key file? You can check with the webif and look under readers and select the "i" button under "actions" for the emu reader and it will show the entitlements (keys) that it has loaded.

    The file only contains powervu keys, nothing else. They are shown and listed there where you refer to. Not sure why row three looks so strange.

    I just see a difference between 9 degrees and the 13 degrees, but I assume this is created by the Emulator that way? In the Provider ID the SID is integrated:

    key 0E00 9E0011 01 9E8xxxxF3B23
    key 0E00 9E000A 01 9E8xxx3F3B23

    On 13 degrees it is not the case:
    key 0E00 00013E 001xxxB5 12Fxxxx4F6062
    key 0E00 00013E 001xxx8C EBxxxxxxD8E

    Is that the reason?
