1. Reboot the set-top box
2. Configure the plugin (for example, what you want to save in the screenshot - including OSD or without OSD)
3. Save the config with green button on RCU
Plugin "ShootYourScreen" - it works for me.
I just tested it on "Vu+ Solo SE V2" with OpenATV-6.3 image.
I've tested both PNG and JPG image formats, it's all right.
Screenshot of: "OSD + video"
Always save: "Enabled"
Picture size: "by SKIN resolution"
Button to take a screenshot: "Radio"
Short press of button, instead of long press: "Yes"
Are the screenshots limited by the skin resolution? I’m trying to take one of a 4K channel ant the max resolution is 1920x1080 (skin’s resolution). Is there a way to take a 3840x2160 screenshot?
Hello guys, I have been trying to take screenshots from KODI and HBBTV apps, but to no avail?
grab -d -p /tmp/grab.png
grab > /tmp/shot.jpg
wget -O /tmp/screenshot-`date +%s`.jpg "http://localhost:80/grab?format=jpg&mode=all"
... and also some plugins...
Has anyone been able to do that successfully?
I appreciate any help you can provide.
Hello, as my friend Kiddac said above, nothing could be simpler with Openwebif, if it is installed on the receiver, just type the ip address of the box on the pc then, on the left, capture the screen, here is Kodi for now....
perhaps for you but his own stb network address is needed
that must be the ip of the box
one can check on the box

Yes I know that but no well explained IP box could actually be gigablue IP box ,
so on openatv for example it would be menu > Information > Network and then you can see IP address.
Guys, but he's already written the use of wget in CODE TAG - i.e. using OpenWebif grabber / script ... and it didn't help.
plugin screengrabber ?
And most important of all he has not given info about Image and what Box in use.
If it's an DreamOS image (OE 2.6) then aio grabber is no longer working.
And you need to use dreamboxctl. It apply to Dreambox One and Two UHD
This create a standard screenshot with Video and OSD in /tmp folder.
This is how you create a screenshot of your LCD

I don't know if this will help to create a screenshot in 4K/UHD resolution. The problem may be at the hardware+software system level. Apparently there is no suitable system tool to get 4K/UHD screenshot from new chipsets (from VideoRAM).
Or maybe everything depends only on the resolution of the so-called "framebuffer" or on the resolution of the Enigma2 GUI (resolution and SKIN type). But even this would basically be an error / BUG, if it is not possible to create a 4K/UHD screenshot while watching a 4K/UHD channel, and if the maximum screenshot size is always determined only by the resolution of the used SKIN (framebuffer).
agreed it depend on hardware + software system
here my vu+zero 4k support that
And here I mean the possibility of taking a screenshot of 4K streaming channels, not mean that the quality of the captured image is 3840 x 2160 pixels.
