Hi, unfortunately yes because I'm trying to install some simple cms to better generate static content. FTP public access is directly connected to the directory on website where firmware and utilities are served. I hope that today both sources will be ready. In case of anything will write here.

Im new to all this and would like to try the custom firmware for my Mag 322. I have the files can you please tell me what the transitional file needs to be renamed to. I put it on a fat32 formatted usb and just renamed in imageupdate and all I get is imageupdate not found

Hi, the transitional file must be renamed to "imageupdate" and should be on "mag322" directory. Check please if your usb is 8 GB or less, if you have "mag322" directory and if you have downloaded correct file. "mag322" directory must be on root of pendrive. Hi there,
I managed to get the transitional image on first like you instruct but when I try to flash the proper image second all I get is wrong signature.
My box is a Mag 322 w1
Any help would be very appreciated. Than k you in advance

Hi, so you flashed the second image and the error showed? This is because the second image is intended to flash through STB settings but it is now impossible because of some signing problems. Install only transitional image.

I'm working on developing costume firmware for chines clone of mag250. But mag250 failed in 24hours after flashing new firmware can anybody help me about it( to create costume firmware)?

You are basing on 0.2.18-r22 right?
This version has some addons done by Infomir devs which kill chinese clones because they are illegal from their side. Unfortunately you will have to look for root file system from older versions (IMHO 0.2.16 will be a good choice if you find it).

finally i reverse engineered firmware provided by chines manufacturer. there's only only one change only /dev/initctl file is deleted in rootfs.

I received this patch to fix blocked portals for all mag devices in a PM
can`t test it myself, but could be useful to other members
if someone could test and provide some feedback it would be great
To install custom mag firmware load folders onto usb 2(not usb3). Insert usb into rear usb slot. Then enter boot loader menu by holding menu key as unit boots from cold boot. Select upgrade tools (open by pressing right on remote) select usb boot and click ok.
