  • Hi,
I am using OpenATV 7.4 and trying to add the following source to Jedi EPG Xtreme:

    http://epg.cloudns.org/dl.php
After adding the above link to epglist.txt file and staring JediEPGXtreme plugin the new source is visible. But after selecting it, the EPG selection list can not be loaded. During loading the error screen appears and JediEPGXtreme stops.

The file is gz compressed. I did compare the file inside gz with one that is working fine and comes with JediMakerXtreme. I found some extra information in the file from the above link regarding the programs. But I don't know where the problem is (extra information, the compression or something else).
    Could anybody help me?

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards

can you not just use one of the direct links that php file redirects to

I did extract the *.xml file locally and it works when extracted.

    Later I did try

    Code
    http://epg.cloudns.org/tv/2ftp/epg.xml.gz

And it works. I am going to test this for a while.

Thank you very much for your efforts. I appreciate this.

  • In simple terms.

Plugin is used to assign 3rd party epgs to iptv bouquets.
Iptv bouquets need to be created with another plugin, i.e JediMakerXtream (old), BouquetMakerXtream (new), e2m3u2bouquet or other method.

This plugin requires EPG Import plugin as can be found in most image feeds.

Once you have assigned an EPG you exit the plugin and go into EPG importer plugin.

To view newly assigned EPGs. Select and save Jedi EPG in EPGIMPORT sources and do a manual import.

    EPG Importer Plugin.

Click the blue button for sources
    Find JediEPGXtream.

    Tick the check box.

    Save

Do a manual Epg Import scan.

Further instructions are on post 1 of this thread. Please read them. (translate them)

  • Those sources seem fine. You would need to add the links ending in .gz to the epglist.txt file though.
My job is to make you a plugin. Its up to you to add additional sources.

    i.e.

    https://www.bevy.be/bevyfiles/albania.xml.gz

Not personally tried any other than to see if they cover todays date, which they do.

But good source of epg that.

  • Hello, I have only been using IPTV for about four weeks and am still learning and setting up my new DB.

Three days ago I installed BMX, EPGImport and your EPG Xtream plugin. At first everything worked perfectly and all EPG data was displayed correctly. However, after an EPG import with 6145 events, everything suddenly disappeared. :frowning face:

I spent many hours trying to solve the problem, but the EPG data remained missing.

So yesterday I uninstalled and reinstalled everything. After that the EPG worked again without any problems.

I set EPGImport to automatically import the EPG every day at 7:00 a.m. This morning 6145 events were imported again, but unfortunately all EPG data is now gone again. :face with steam from nose: I am starting to despair.

  • check you epg settings you should store epg.dat on external device not internal memory

    Capture.PNG

  • Thank you very much - to save space I store everything on my QNAP NAS server.

What I don't understand is that when I reinstall everything, everything works fine at first. But as soon as I do a new EPG import, everything is gone again.

I've been working on the DB for five weeks now and it's starting to get on my nerves. I've never had any problems with my Vu+ in the last ten years.

The DB is actually completely set up, the only thing missing are the EPGs - which have been getting on my nerves for three days now.

Nevertheless, I have to say that BMX and Jedi X are great plugins. :)

Edit: Sorry, I have this with Xklass and Xstreamity on NAS servers. Can I set this up somewhere else? In the EGP import there is no function for selecting storage in the menu.

  • What I don't understand is that when I reinstall everything, everything works fine at first. But as soon as I do a new EPG import, everything is gone again.

there is an option called "Clearing current EPG before import", I keep that as No - in EPG Import Configuration

that helped me out in a similar issue

  • I still think it is not saving epg.dat correctly ,if it is saving it at all it may just be epg cache i would still at least try usb thumbdrive to test , also why to you not make settings and full image backup.

You mention DB that means nothing I take it that is dream box what one also what image are you using .
