    there was a gap of about 12 hours where no one posted any ECM keys, as i have said before, we are still depending on users to post keys, it is currently working for me as i type this @10.54 AM British summer time.

    make sure you are now on ncam 12.8

    When you get ncam working by putting in keys manually, are you seeing the updated keys in your Internet downloaded keys directories in:

    /var/volatile/tmp/.ncam

    Are you seeing the same key(s) that work in your normal config directory?

    So. I just found a new key on 'the universe'.
    Applied it to my config directory keys file. AFN was not clearing.
    I waited a few cycles of ncam to find and download keys.
    I did a file comparison. Using fairbird as an Internet source.
    Fairbird key did not match the one I had just entered.
    Only when I restarted ncam did the channels clear.
    Question. Is ncam supposed to download then refresh keys in memory or is a manual restart necessary?

    According to version 12.5, ncam is downloading softcam files every 5 min !!!

    Well the NCam does update and auto restarts most of the time but takes longer than 5minutes.. hope the refresh/redownload rate could be made faster.. however, if it's working very well during testing, then the image used should be made known also!

    Correct. And I see that. Is there a snippet in the config files that trigger a 'keys in memory' refresh?
    From here. Keys are only downloaded IF no valid key is found. If cw's are cycling, no download happens.
    To clarify. Fairbird keys downloaded. My updated and saved /etc/tuxbox/config/softcam.key file sat there.
    I waited a few 5 minute cycles on ncam for a download to occur.
    Channels did not clear. Manual restart used the new key I had edited in my file and saved.
    CW's cycled, channels cleared.
    After that. No download trigger.
    Making sense?

    I left the box on afn ch for ~10hrs (not that i wanted to watch the 2 repeating movies), and right now sofcam files haven't been updates/downloaded for the last 6hrs !

    In those 10 hrs, no stopping at all, but all the time webif was showing only the linuxsat reader finding the keys. I understand that everyone needs some sleep or personal time and the new keys are not loaded a.s.a.p., but maybe based on the time zone in the world this can be fixed.

    Emu (biss/power vu) key ones are opened. Those who have the server stays open for 5 10 seconds and then stays like this. There is no such problem in 12.5-r3 but

    I am using OpenPLi 8.2 image, is there any solution for this? I would appreciate your help, thanks

    Here with us no problem with ncam 12.9 ... Please try other image to make more sure

    No problems with Vix & openatv images & version 12.9

    afn is on, no interruptions for the last 11 hrs.
