Ncam Emu compiled and patched by RAED

master G i checked my configs. Server works now, but all AFN channels are down. I have the latest configs from here.

Update:
opkg uninstall <both osam-emu AND ncam>.
Reboted. FTP into box. Search for anything softcam related. Nothing but Softcam none (for the softcam manager).
So nothing to delete.

Installed ncam .ikp from here. Rebooted box.
Placeed just my softcam.keys file in config. folder. Restarted. cw1 & cw1 cycling in Softcam setup (red button, Softcam Setup).
No video.
Looked in ncam.conf to find the webif port. Changed it to port 8888 because....why the hell not? I like to keep them consistent.
Opened the webif. Configuration>DVB-Api.
API for extended cw's set to 2. Changed it to 1 - OE2.2. Saved it.
Restarted ncam. Channels clearing. Cool!
But......nope. No purported folders and such in /var/voatile/tmp.

Sir. The intention is to see what the hype of ncam is all about. Number one.
Number two. To see if what others say is true using it. That AFN keys will come from updated github softcam.keys files that are downloaded when ncam is restarted. To make this whole AFN hourly new-key-posts and ftp into my file system to place them less of a pain in the butt.
Perhaps a simple restart from the webif, or a crafty cron job.
I actually gave up on AFN when they went verimatrix. Which brings up other questions. Thinking pv on afn was no more.
Nevertheless. Being a long time oscam-emu user. Ncam seems like a PITA. Especially from the barrage of other users with the same issues, which makes me feel like at least I'm "not doing it right"....thank GOD the purE2 guy is not around here anymore. You know. gorkaroon!!
And also to bring forth that obviously not all platforms using the .ipk install method is not working all that well.
I thought it would be cool to see if this would be a quick and cool install to keep this hobby interesting. I'm still positive about it.
And. As other posts go here and other places. It has not at least gone stagnant.
Oh. FYI. I did create .ncam manually and it populated with a keys file immediately upon restarting ncam.

You can simply add these 2 readers to your normal oscam emu oscam.server file, and keep your own softcam.key file active as well.

They are 2 github accounts that update keys online, there are other github accounts out there as well so add other reader too is you like.

you're right. there is another github account from mohamed witch can be assigned to another reader, and it will download an updated sofcam.key file when the ecm keys expired.

i would enable !afn service from built in emulator so it won't be queue of finding keys on built in emulator since its no longer updating anymore when internet ones are priority for only afn service...it work for me

The only difference here is that the latest Ncam has been patched to use libcurl.

You can achieve the same results with Oscam if you patch that to use libcurl too. Or if you are unable to build and patch your own Oscam versions, then simply use a BASH script to download and install the Softcam.Key files from various GIT's to your keys folder every 15 mins or so using cron. You simply then just setup a hotkey to your job manager and then just pressing one key on your remote will run the script and open AFN for you.

AFN package works well , but something is still missing in your configurations , probably in oscam.server.

Did you add AFN emulator in oscam.server and change some parameters in Service in Webif ? I use oscam emu ,

but I think that is configuration same for both ncam and oscam . Or if you can attach here your oscam.server.

yes i do notice his configuration is no difference with few extra tweaks from mine that i still have issue with caching internet softcam.key file that i have to reset the oscam or ncam so system re-download new softcam.key for every update changes due to emulator just cache internet key into reciever memory and doesn't expired or flush old data when internet keys change again while oscam still using outdated ones from memory.

is there a setting to prevent caching online keys to memory ??
