Which printer?

  • I need to get a new printer tomorrow as my Epson has finally given up.
I'd rather not get another Epson but don't want expensive inks. I currently use compatible inks at 79p each.

    Any recommendations or advice?
I'd consider a small colour laser, as long as I can refill the toners.
I quite like the look of the HP all in ones too.

Anyone here using a CIS system on their printer?

  • I got a Cannon all in one after a stupid Epson!!

The Cannon is amazing!! Got it for €40 in Argos so couldn't really go wrong..

Ink is a bit dear for it though but you could refill them yourself probably!!

  • have not used inkjets for years.

Go for a laser no more blocked jets and constant cleaning of print heads.

laser works out a lot cheaper per print, quality is not as good as inkjet for photo images

  • Whatever you do don't buy an HP inkjet as the refills cost a fortune. For the cost of the refills you can buy a brand new printer complete with inks. The new Kodak all in one printers look to be very good value for money according to the TV adverts. But my best advice would be to check how much the refills cost for a printer before you buy it, as what looks to be a good deal (HP), could turn out the be a very expensive mistake.
