  • The reason I asked if you just had the white light, is that is all I had on mine.

2.5 - 3 years ago I thought the Ultimo4K was dead as it just wouldn't power on, although after a while it would start to boot and then lock up.

After messing about with it for a while, I realised it was the power switch itself that was the issue from all the on/off and back on with reflashing the box.

In the end I managed to get the switch into a position where it all worked fine, and have since then never touched it again and instead resorted to pulling the power cable out and reinserting it when it does need to be powered off.

Been working fine since then, so don't give up on it.

I did take the box to bits too to see if it was a dry solder joint, but it wasn't.

  • The box image froze on me when I was editing the channel list so had to power it down by the switch other then that I never plug the box out .

So I most of hit the plug or moved it by accident.

I just turn it off and never move it .

I am just happy it working for the moment without any more issue just don’t want to spend money on a new box .

  • Hi Evo,

Seems I might have same issue??? Power comes on with only front LED light which flashes quickly. I can hear a noise inside the box which seems to be corresponding to the the speed of the flashes??

How did you overcome the Power Button issue? I took front panel off but from there I cant seem able to reposition button?

    Thanks.

  • It's the power switch on the rear panel that was the issue for me.

Changed the title of the thread from “Vu ultimo died” to “Vu ultimo 4K died”.
  • It's the power switch on the rear panel that was the issue for me.

How exactly did you adjust it?? I've taken box apart and main board looks ok. The fromnt panel circuit board I'v etaken aprt but can seem able to "adjust" front power button?

Thanks by the way for replying! Hope you can assist?

As I said, for me it was the rear on/off switch that was the issue, there was nothing wrong with the front panel.

For the rear switch, I just kept firmly pushing it off and then on again (very firmly) and eventually it made a good enough connection for the box to work properly again.

  • Well!! It was NONE of the above!! It was a power issue YES nut it was the actual power supplu unit itself!! Noticed green light on it was pulsing as per noise in box!!

Changed it over for another and the box has powwred on!!!

What a day!! :face with rolling eyes:
