The atv recovery files, are for E2, no idea if they touch the android side of things, but if they do, then it would probably be reset to how it was in 2018 too

balls... just done a software update instead. 72 updates.
Its bricked the image. grrr.
Back to square one. Time to try openvix me thinks. (or stick to the good old openatv 6.4)
Flash online is safer when there are far to many updates

i did try that recovery image the other day but it failed.
After todays faffing, it seems to be loading.

OK i started again.
Made sure emmc was correct using hitools and my usb to jack cable. That all went fine
Installed the recovery image again.
Reformatted sd card and put the very last openatv 7.1 version on it this time. Plugins now seem to install properly from feeds
Not risking 7.2 or 7.3 yet.
I am just going to setup my box and crack on with life. :)
Now where that openatv 7.* setup guide

OpenATV 7.1 uses OE-A branch 5.1. uses python 3.10, There will be no more changes to it.
OpenATV 7.2 uses OE-A branch 5.2. uses python 3.11,
OpenATV 7.3 uses OE-A branch 5.3. uses python 3.11.2

Does anything work this month. Xtreamity issues, epiconizer issues, movie planner mod issues, jedi...on going saga. -

Hi all
After installing openatv 7.0,7.1.7.2 on my dinbot 4k se there is a problem with the remote control not working also tv channels there is a signal but no vedio or audio .
any help please.

I keep running out of space... due to the above.My tuner keeps coming and going (similar to what you are saying). And only a full reboot brings it back. Again is probably an internal space issue.
I am going to have to start again.
Wipe my micro SD card (again)
Use the recovery image on post 5.
Then if need be put openatv 6.4 back on it. I used that for years with no problem on this box.
Only when I tried updating to later images, did everything start going balls up. -

I had a similar issue with atv 7.2 on a different box, so I think it's probably an image issue

I just read now, did you solve it?
I used a jtag that I built and put the full update
everything went fine.

I think its build problems amd ATV team do not want to make efforts in that box to correct the images
pure2 6.5 , atv 6.4 , 6.5 are ok.
its better to use multiboot plugin when you use a new images like neobot you can install it from dreamsat pannel.
you need a good usb flash
I am waiting pure2 7.3 hopping it works
this box is brilliant and very strong H.W . UNFORTUNATELY most of the teams are far from it
