See the attached guide bud, not used this box myself.....but yes android STB's are no where near as nice as our e2 machines......

fai sapere se ci sei riuscito, io so che per passare da mars a firmware originale ci vuole apposito cavetto.

Let me know if you succeeded, I know that to switch from Mars to the original firmware you need a special cable.
-
From mars to stock the only way are:
- special rs232 cable
- ch341a clip programmer
You can find all on @liexpress for very few money.

Is there further instructions to use these cables ??

Don't forget we have a classified section if you want to sell it on.

This is a board of V8X, chip for clip programmer on V8uhd is the same ( red line )
">
This is the programmer
">
This is the rs232 cable
">
For clip programmer you can see every youtube video for ch341a bios flash.
You need ch341a software and the gtmedia bin you want install, you can go from one every gtmedia software to another one as you want.
If you programming with ch341a clip, v8uhd motherboard must be fully disconnected from power supply.
With rs232 cable you can see instructions on vendor forum

Hi friend, I think that already, it's not good to go from enigma 2 with all its possibilities to a low-end and closed Chinese device....Then the firmware for the mars server is completely useless, you have to type a password for all access, you can't make a list of favorites or you have to take out the can of sedative, the image is overall passable, it is full of bugs, at one point, just because I had put a few too many channels on for him, he rebooted non-stop after a minute, having to reflash it....no, frankly, move on with his devices, it's just good for the trash.....and the Mars server is not bad but in a lousy device you can't do anything with it....

is there any good decoder where is it possible to use the Mars server?

Here's the right image for the V8 UHD

personally I recently bought a v8uhd, for the sole purpose of seeing if what was said around the fw mars was true. And I had read so many bad reviews similar to yours. However, once tested on the field, without going into the merits of the mars fware (but confirming that what is said is true), I can say that from the "technical" and daily usability side the dec is not a slut. Obviously it certainly cannot be compared to an e2 machine, not even a basic one, but for "ordinary" use it can be more than fine. It connects well to the network, has no problems or restarts during use (if not absolutely sporadic), in normal channels the zapping speed is acceptable (for the "others" a little less). It is quite responsive to TLC commands and the remote itself has good tactility. I tried connecting a 1 tera hard disk to it via USB and the recordings are good. Ultimately, I don't understand what anyone can expect from a Chinese NON enigma2 decoder that costs €40 and what sense there is in comparing it to Linux decoders that cost from €100 to €400. Of course, even if the channel list does not have a stupid editor like for many others and if you want to modify the scanned ones you go crazy, but there are lists from well-known settingman to load, even for motorised ones; the tuner also supports unicable and motorized ones and has a reasonable sensitivity. It has DVBT2 and S2X multistream..... Not to mention that, with those expensive decoders e2 we all have, you don't even see half the channels you can see with Mars. Of course having those features on our e2 would be the best... but for now there isn't that possibility so... the purchase makes sense if you use it for that, otherwise I don't see the need to buy it to defame it... that's all . With this I don't want to be misunderstood, I'm not a GTmedia sponsor and I don't intend to promote it in any way....just for intellectual honesty here, so in my opinion, for the cost it has and the use it allows you if you get the rest , it may be worth it.

I dont know where did you bought v8uhd for 40 euros, because now It is almost 100e with shipping in Eu, plus 30-40e for mars. For that money you can buy e2 hardware beast in comparison of this chunga lunga box.

Yes it's clear, it's a guy who works for GTmedia because to say good things about a device like that, he really doesn't know anything about it and the price as Njofrica says is completely wrong, find it for 40 euros.....

Have been looking into GTMedia and Mars server recently as tempted by what the Mars server offers.
V8UHD is £80 on Ebay, and Mars server can be bought on the web for £20-£25.
I see little point in forking out for a 4k box.
Better off getting the V8X HD for £40 imo
I used to use the V7HD box a few years ago.
For the money I paid (£15) it was well worth buying.Infuriating at times, but still worth it!
Currently using Zgemma H9SE.

But on v8x with mars its not working sly de, it or uk, it only works with 8uhd.

You will give me the address for 20 euros the Mars server, personally I have never seen less than 38/40 euros you all offer prices that only exist in your imagination....
