  • Hey KiddaC .

I hope you are doing better concerning your shoulder problem,

Is there any hope for our update problem?

For your information, as I wrote before, the plugin immediately begun to crash when I changed mainmanu.py. So I put the old one back. Now there is no crash, but no update either. I have to remove the bouquets created by BMX, and then recreate them to have the updated list from my provider.

  • Hello Sir.

    Q. Is it possible to put a tick box against each playlist ? Those unticked are ignored by the program (kinda like putting a "#" against a provider in playlist.txt).

Id like to avoid some ... ahem.. playlists popping up in the bouquet list when an auto update is performed.

Or am I missing something. Entirely possible.

    Best wishes.

  • kiddac hope recovery is going well! Got a cheeky request for you...

In order to ensure proper functioning of client mode on my second box (VU Zero streaming from main box) I need to make sure that the streams are loaded as 4097 in BM. If I select extplayer (5002) on BM for my playlist I get strange behaviour on the streaming client box where once I have watched an iptv stream i can no longer switch back to a regular sat stream without it crashing.

4097 works fine on my main box (Vu duo 4k SE) for 99% of channels, except UHD as the box cannot support that natively bizzarely, all it does it stutter and die.

I can fix this by using something like E-Channelizer to force the specific UHD channels to 5002, however, with the playlist updating every 24 hours, this gets overridden when that happens.

Is there anyway to allow us to override the default stream type for certain channels in the setup somehow so 99% of them would be 4097 with specific UHD ones as 5002? I realise this is an edge case, so no pressure.

  • Turn off updates. :)

And edit your .tv files in etc/enigma2 folder.

As for an override for a selection of channels. No chance. Are you mad. :face with tears of joy:

But with a little manual work. You can create a new entry in bouquets.tv.

Create the file that you just referenced and post only the ones you want in there and edit those service types. Dont know if the epg will still get picked up though if you change the service type.

    Structure of bouquets.

    Ungrouped.

    bouquets.tv references userbouquet.bouquetmakerxtream_****.tv

  • Knew you would know a better way, good point! thank you!

  • Hey KiddaC

I hope you have recovered already, and all is fine.

Please tell me, is there any hope for the solution of my problem? The one for which I put a short video here a couple of weeks ago, do you remember? That I can not update my bouquets, I have to delete them and create them every couple of days or so to be able to have a new list from my provider?

    Thank you.

  • I have a Gigablue UHD UE 4K, running latest OpenATV. I have recently switched from OpenVix due to a different problem, but I've been using this plugin on both.

On Atv the scheduled update in the morning doesn't seem to work, whereas on Vix it did. This is from standby at about 5.30am.

ABM rebuilds my sat bouquets and deletes everything else apart from Favourites, then 2 minutes later BMX is scheduled to rebuild the IPTV ones. This strategy worked fine on Vix.

It's a bit baffling because when I've noticed the IPTV bouquets are missing, if I set it to refresh in 2 minutes time then put the box into standby as a test, it then works. Maybe it's to do with how long the box has been on standby. I don't know.

I may remove it and try with Jedi to see how that goes.

EDIT: I should say I realise the problem is almost certainly NOT the plugin, this is more to see if anyone else had this and how they solved it.

  • 2 mins might be cutting it a bit fine.
ANd no point in comparing to jedi. Jedi is dead. I don't even look at the code for it anymore.
    BMX is completely different code.

OK I installed Jedi and I could not get it to connect anyway, I just get the spinner for ages then the red light. I will remove it.

    ABM takes about 30 seconds.

I just double checked the times and ABM is 5.15 and BMX is 5.18. Same as on Vix. So 3 minutes should be OK.
EPG Refresh and EPG Importer run a few minutes later.

Should be ok and is ok are two different things.

I also have a gigablue receiver the quad uhd 4k and I have ABM running at 07.00 BMX at 07.10 then epgimporter running at 07.20.

Another point is if using any of epgimporter own epg they do not get uploaded untill after 07.00

then i use epg refresh it is last to run that is for my terrestrial i,e, freeview

  • Today it worked (with the same timings). I was playing around late last night and it seemed to me that when doing a network test it was sometimes passing the dns test and sometimes not. My ISP and network is IPv6 compliant (no other devices have any issues) but I have vague memories of having to edit a config file in Vix to disable IPv6 as it didn't work very well. In ATV you can do it from the network menu so disabling IPv6 and forcing dns to IPv4 seems to have made dns resolutions more reliable. I'm guessing that was the problem all along. I didn't really think it was anything to do with the plugin itself (as I said previously) I just wondered if other users had the same problem and found the cause.

  • yes i alway disable ipv6 and I think most do even in vpn and wireguard plugins i also disable there also.

  • Hi guys not sure if I am on the right thread for this but need advise if I may. I have got H7 and installed BMX version 1.17-20240529 and I have 4 IPTV playlists from 4 different providers when I update them via the BMX menu it’s only updating one of the playlists but not all. I have tried Auto Update as well but no success. What am I doing wrong guys.

    Thanks in advance

    Regards

  • As KiddaC said that could be the issue. Go into your router and change your DNS 1.1.1.1 1.0.0.1 If you can get into it , if not change it on your box settings under network settings see how you get on..

Only download channels only for your bouquets and just use kklass to watch vod

    | would go with second option just edit dns settings on box under network settings if it is only reciever that has problem.

  • I think the max channels you can store is 10,000 in the bouquets. Do they play on xklass for you?

Iv'e never heard of a limit on bouquets and considering you can also load vod and series. But yes playlists are getting larger but who would even consider adding all available countries from some providers you only select bouquets that you require.

I have five providers and they all load via BMX but I do not select every category supplied by providers only the ones i need .
gentlemen have you tried using a vpn also you could ask KiddaC to check your playlists you never know they could be malformed.
