  • Do you also have satellite or terrestrial channels numbering starts from them first then iptv bouquets follow on ,I take it in iptveditor your channels start from number 1 in first category then continue on to others.

example my first satellite channel is bbc one and that is number 101

  • I am only using IPTV channels, not satellite at the moment, Plan to use that as a backup but need to swap the LNB first. I am using the sky channel numbers so BBC One is 101 BBC Two is 102 etc

On my box at the moment BBC One is 1, BBC Two is 2 and they just follow in order.

  • I don't know what receiver you have, but you have the Extended NumberZap plugin.

  • It is a zgemma h9s. I do not see the extended numberzap plugin anywhere

  • I do not know it you could try changing numbering mode in menu > setup > usage & gui > Channel Selection Settings.

  • I just did a search for that plugin over 5 years old and will not be python 3

  • It's an extended numberzap plugin that is inserted and installed into the receiver, but I don't know if it can be installed into your Zgemma H9s, since I have a Dreambox Two.

  • Just tried that, doesn't seem to have made a difference. Its almost as if Bouquet Maker Xtream is not providing the channel numbers

  • Gleed ok found a way to get them but it only starts from 1 and carries on through all bouquets

this was posted by abu baniaz on another forum.

You can issue these commands in terminal which will remove all bouquets. Paste instead of type to prevent risk of errors

    opkg remove enigma2-plugin-settings-defaultsat

    init 4 && opkg remove enigma2-plugin-settings-defaultsat && sleep 10 && rm -rf /etc/enigma2/lamedb* && rm -rf /etc/enigma2/*.tv && rm -rf /etc/enigma2/*.radio && rm -rf /etc/enigma2/*.del && init 3

Make sure you do complete backup first.

And you will need to run bouquets maker xtream once done to remake bouquets

  • urie Cheers for this, however that is actually how it works right now! The default seems to be it starting from 1 and carries on through all bouquets, they dont start at 1 on each bouquet unless I change the setting mentioned elsewhere in this thread.

What I was looking for was to use the tvg-chno value from the IPTV server for the service numbers but upon further reading that may not be possible with this plugin, thanks for all your help everyone but I think what I am trying to do simply isn't supported by Bouquet Maker Xtream. I can export a m3u from iptveditor and I have seen some scripts floating around that can convert those into enigma 2 bouquets so that might be the next thing I try.

  • Yes I was not thinking you only have iptv bouquets i had tried the commands on other slot :)

  • I dont think you can do this.
My bouquet maker just adds bouquets that exist. So they will start from 1.

The satellite bouquets will add in a load of empty rows to get the correct numbers.

And I say this all the time. When ever BMX auto updates. All your edits will be gone anyway.

Example satellite bouquets created by ABM. Lots of blanks to get the correct numbers

  • I see, I am new to E2 so wasn't aware of its limitations regarding service numbers. Seems like a crazy brute force method to use blanks to get the correct numbers to be assigned. Do you know if these blanks show up in the EPG? For reference I am using your Slyk 1080 R19 skin.

I have been considering writing my own script to create the bouquets in the specific way I want them as I have a few older people in the house that have the sky channel numbers burned into their head (I personally couldn't give a damn) and this seems like the only way to get this done, I also imagine doing it this way will give me more flexibility when it comes to integrating SAT channels once I get the LNB swapped, I thought it would be nice to use the SAT for all unencrypted channels and only slot in the IPTV channels in place of the encrypted channels.

  • Hey Kiddac, great plugin you wrote here, I would probably have moved away from E2 only for some of your contributions, so big thankyou for your work..

I have a question RE: special symbols in the m3u, I came across a playlist with special characters like for example below:

    Code
    group-title="4K| RELAX ᵁᴴᴰ ³⁸⁴⁰ᴾ ☼",4K: RELAX 1 ᵁᴴᴰ 3840P
    group-title="UK| GENERAL ᴴᴰ/ᴿᴬᵂ",UK: BBC 1 HD ◉
group-title="UK| SPORT ⱽᴵᴾ",VIP: SLY SPORTS MIX ʰᵉᵛᶜ

Because the special symbols seem to be skipped/ignored, I end up with numerous groups with the same name like below:

    UK| SPORT

    UK| SPORT

    UK| SPORT

    UK| SPORT

    rather than:

    UK| SPORT SD

    UK| SPORT HD

    UK| SPORT VIP

    UK| SPORT PPV

Is this a limitation of E2 font/character display or is it something that the plugin could work around?

  • I strip most non ascii characters out, because it also gets used as a filename.
I am a little busy with my new stalker plugin at the moment, but remind me again next week and I might be able to help you.
