Is there a menu item to enable picons. I have the icons downladed to /media/hdd/picon but i do not see them in my epg or info bar?
I#m using Openatv 7.3 - I'm sure I am missing an obvious step?

There are 2 types of picons.
SNP - service named picons - The name of these has to match the satellite channel
SRP - service ref picons - these picons are named as the service ref of the satellite channel.
If you press the menu button in the channelselect screen, or the epg/guide screen, you will get an option in the settings to show picons
IPTV picons have to name match each different channel, for each different provider.
And if you are UK based after sky uk picons, I also have this plugin that will download all the latest ones.
E2Piconizer - Picon Downloader/Creator
Thanks - I've downloaded the PICONS from the iptv provider - as instucted I enabled via the channelselect menu but all I see is a yellow circle now in the channel list.
What plugin are you using for your iptv bouquets.
Send a screen shot of the some of the picon names in your picon folder please.

does provider have picons ?
My settings are the same as those in the screen shots above.
Yes the provider has icons, I can see them in the icons folder on my USB.
Change Picon Path from internal memory to hdd using the command
ln -s /media/hdd/picon /usr/share/enigma2/picon
Then reboot
I created the symlink as advised and rebooted I still only see this:

System to identify picon for spacific channel needs name or reference number matching but in your case you don't have both, you needs to install AjPanel and make additional steps.
In AjPanel /settings activate remove iptv channels name prefix because you have it.
Then from service /channels, use copy epg/picon from xml
If I remove the prefix will it mess up the EPG importer which runs daily?

you do not need symbolic link openatv should get his picons from media/hdd/picon , even if i move picon folder from hard drive to usb thumd drive it will get them as long as only 1 folder named picon.
And I am going to ask a daft question.
I presume you have rebooted your GUI after downloading picons.
You still haven't shown any examples of what your picons are called.
Yes i have rebooted - typical picon name:

Is this applicable on iptv channels with unmatchable names?
No they are service reference picons.
Unless you have been given a script to create you bouquets from your provider.
Using a plugin to create your bouquets like my BouquetMakerXtream plugin would not work with those picons.
If your IPTV line is an Xtream line with get.php in the url. You can use my BouquetMakerXtream (BMX) plugin to create bouquets.
There is a picon downloader build into my plugin which will download the picons, and match them to your provider.
I use BMX already - the PICONS are no big deal, a nice to have but I can live without these.
I did that already - it downloads them to my hdd in the picons folder but per my post - they don't appear in my default skin. Just a yellow circle.

try another skin to see if they show also are you certain those yellow circles are actually picons and not some type of prefix as mahmound mentioned.
Tried another skin - seems that the yellow circle is the service icon, on my other box (same provider and same settings) it appears as a white "play" arrow.
