  • Rocco can you say exactly what you are doing?? That splash screen looks like a factory image. Do you know the IP address of the box? You could look in your router. That recovery is supposed to overwrite everything.

Also, try this but make sure the remote is pointing at the front of box ALL the time, may need 2 people. Press the red standby button on remote and keep it pressed, push power at back and still kee[p standby pressed. Wait and wait and see if box can generate boot menu but don't rush. Be patient and if notjhing at first repeat. how old is box? still under guarantee.

  • I have a Zgemma H9.2s box and when I tried to update it, but will now only go to to a white HISILICON screen, I have tried to use usb (3 different usb adaptors) formated on MBR plus fat32 put the firmware into the root of the usb, turned off the box at the rear placed in the usb and holding reset I then powered up but will not go any further

    Please any help

did you use the recovery software and not just the latest image?

  • yes I did, just will not go into boot mode, I thought it was something I did wrong so read and reread instructions still won't boot into boot mode, I've even tried pressing power button on the remote and ok button.

  • Sorry i cannot be much more help, i do not have your box but i do have a qviart dual which has the same chipset. On the dual there a couple of ways to get into recovery. Switching off and back on whilst holding the power button on the front takes you into recovery mode. Or whilst booting keep pressing ok,ok ect to enter recovery mode or by pressing 11111, or 22222, or 33333 or 44444 take you into a different boot slot. I don't think any of these will help but maybe.

On the qivart there is also a loader tool called hitool. I am unsure if this is suitable for you box but maybe a google search might bring something up.

I just had a read around have you tried putting the recovery software on a usb stick in root of usb stick but when you turn the box on keep your finger on the reset button until you see flash on the screen. Is this another option?
