No I have Astra (19.2E) in the center to have more satellites available to left and right side (on the lnb mounting bar.
Sorry maybe you are right. I do not remember (toroidal dish installed more than 10 years ago) but HotBird should be in the center
In fact the center satellite is important only in the sense of your choice of global reception satellites....
If we estimate that with your dish you can receive more or less 40 degrees of reception....if you want Hispasat at 30 degrees west, it will not be the same as if you want Turksat at 42 degrees east.....
Assuming that you start from Thor at 0.8 degrees west, you can go east to 19 degrees and the same amount to the west.....based on the total 40 degrees.....
Hopefully one of these guys that is using switches will answer as to how they have there sats and tuners configured
I use diseqc in a different way
Hi Kashmir !
I have another dish for 30w so I`m fine with Hispasat....
To be honest because motor failed and cahors bigsat (I have one and I`m telling that is very easy to setup - had no problems with that!) but problem is if I have 16e in center (I`m about cahors bigsat) you loosing some strenght for 13e and opposite - because just no room for both LNB even if I have slim LNB ! I want to make a little better - that is reason I`m trying WF T90
Kashmir you parle français - I found this very useful :
https://forum.telesatellite.com/showthread.php/3628-WAVE-FRONTIER-Réglage?highlight=WaveFrontier
I understood and you said yourself that I can place 13e HB in the center where arc is 0 and get signal (for example in the topic the man had 19e in the center)
(I just trying to understand the best steps to do at next attempt adjusting WF ;) lol )
And Merci Kashmir !
jenseneverest I learned to setup diseqc from forums myself :) lol but you know there is different type systems - mine is with this centauri 16/1 diseqc and works fine with these configs.
BTW the first picture you have configs I use for motorised system setup....
Regarding the connection with a disecq century 8 inputs for example, that's what I use and I even added a little extra that I'm going to show you....
So I have 7 positions with my T55 dish, I of course do not receive all the frequencies of 28.5 for example or Thor, but I have 5 degrees west, 0.8 west partially, 9° east, 13° east, 19° east, 23 and 28.5 east....and on the last entry, I have a small motorized dish which works perfectly well, I know that for the pros, it will make them laugh, but as I I like tinkering, I tried and I put 2 images of the classic sats connections from 2 to 8 for the inputs, corresponding of course to the disecq inputs and input 1 for the motorized one....
Disecq mode 1 for the 7 fixed ones and their predestined numbers in disecq command and disecq mode 1.2 for the motorized and command 1 for the entry and it rolls.....
Hello community !
Decent weather and few hours before my working day (I have to work all weekend and until Wednesday... so at next week second part I hope will have more time to do sat dish)
so far I received digital inclinometer which is great tool in this job ! Results are like you suggested center sat 19e and 13e got very good signal above 83%
- so if 13e in center LNB arc does not have enough lenght to cope 42e I decided to place 19e in center all went well 23e signal ok 28e signal ok but I could not get a picture for 39e ;( smth with precision and angles wrong (all numbers as reference from satlex) had no time to check west pointed sat positions...
some pictures ( level and my Cahors setup - in this 16e center and most sat are east 19-23-28-39)
I know bubble is not ideal but I did all myself (not a pro... was hard anyway lol)
Maybe some advice better way to adjust east - west positions ?
I did check materials Kashmir kindly provided ! In french language - I used google translator - will read them again but maybe somebody have some experience idea or some method to catch sat positions away from center position... ?
Thanks !

That is by far the most important part of the job !!
Slow down and get that absolutely perfect before doing anything. The way you are checking it in the 2nd picture is not correct.
Remove the dish and measure just the bracket that the dish mounts to. Again this 100 thousand percent MUST be perfectly aligned.
You will find the whole job much easier if working with a level bracket to begin with, i can not stress this enough.

It's all about alignment. Pay attention to the final part of this manual.
Maybe left part is ok but the right side is too high or low, or viceversa?

Yeah that was a thing I have in my mind and I need nearly a day to do this ...
That might be a reason I`m not getting a picture at all on corners ? I guess...

Yes i would say so. One degree out at the centre point would be a lot more at either end of the arc.
Hi everyone, I don't really understand why we went with a T90 title, so toroidal dishes with double reflectors, while in the photos we see a multi+head Bigsat type dish???????
Hi everyone, to find the various sats, you must already have your mast right on 2 planes....and then you put yourself on a powerful frequency on the screen and be sure to be received in your place of residence .....and you search by slowly moving your Lnb....and if nothing is in front and if your mast is very well adjusted, it must work....Don't hesitate to put good Lnb type Inverto Black Ultra for more difficult sats.....
Hello
Something strange is happening to me...!
I have a 7 lnb system, (13°,16°,19°) but so far I have only ever used 3!
Today being at home I tried to arrange the other satellites, adding 26°, 28°, 9°.
If I set the advanced configuration I have no signal in any satellite.! If instead I set it simple, I have the signal in all 3 satellites.
But even if I add a simple setting with 4 satellites I still have no signal...!
Hi Pioppo !
Check transponder data you scanning - they changing quite often, also beam might getting weaker
Other reason may be you need re-adjust LNB or dish...
9e Italy should work great !?
