I am inexperienced. I do have an osmio4k that I would really like to have oscam-emu working on.
The version that I would really like to try is 11824-802
The binary files for arm7 do not work. Someone else told me to put it in the /usr/softcams folder.
But it will not work. I am so inexperienced that I do not know why it will not work at all.
Could I please ask if anybody has the ipk file for the osmio4k that will work with openvix 6.6.
Thank you so very very much.
ViX 6.6 Oscam-emu binary instal and get working.

I just installed Openvix 6.6.006 to see if I could get oscam-emu working on it here. I downloaded oscam-emu from the downloaded plugins menu under softcams. the version at this time of install is 11817-802. The configs are installed at etc/tuxbox/config/oscam-emu. Replace those with your configs and reboot.
To start the softcam go to Softcam Management / Softcam Script ( Not Softcam Manager) then set SoftcamScrpt select camscript to oscam-emu and save.
Working Fine for me.

Problem is. Before 6.6 finding a new binary only was a simple place it in the softcams directory. Make sure permissions are 755.
Look in softcam manager or script. Select it for startup. Start it. Good to go.
It used to be that oscam for ht eosmio4k was listed as aarch64. It was addressed and changed to arm platform. And all new versions would work.
In 6.6 I ended up uninstalling the ipk and installing from the plugins manager. Currently v11817-802.
Using my same confgs it seems more stable so far and is listed as the Mohammed version.
oscamI could not get any arm version of v11823-802 to work.
You may be missing some libcrypt and/or libssl files in /usr/lib folder.
I suggest to go here Latest OSCam 11824 EMU 802 & icam & gx & sh4 - 04/09/2024, post #777, & download "some lib for armv7 devices" file. Not all new images are installing new ssl files. I had a similar situation with an openbhn version, despite that both are openpli based !!

6.6 images use a different OE branch. Maybe the person compiling the packages you are using has not updated the build environment they are using. Start oscam by command line and it should tell you what the issue is.

Latest version "oscam-git11824-802@fe8b388a-armv7_generic-webif-dvbapi-ssl-libusb-emu-upx", works on my osmio4k+, VIX 6.6. Didn't have a chance to install 11823.

lme. How were you able to get it to work on 6.6?
I linked to abu's page and grabbed it. Permission 755. No joy.
Abu, I did try starting your 11824-802 for arm from the command line.
The error I received when starting it :Code./oscam-git11824-802: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.1.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I did find your dependencies from your page 39 #777.
I am feeling so sad and lonely because helping other people with problems like these is such a pleasure. -

"Into the folder"? I aint that inteligent. But I done gittin' that there way. lol!!
Edit: I got it. Extracted the ipk until I got the path.
Looks like it's running. But no webif?
Edit (yet another one):
What's with this softcam script stuff? And in OScam/Ncam Info it says oscam webif disabled. Sheesh!
Nope. Its not working. I was on a clear channel. Active is blank in Softcam manager. Even though the check box is checked, startup is enabled, and I hit Start.
Even after a reboot. Nada. -

/usr/lib folder, where all dependencies are.

It is just not working. I wish I could get it working. Oh woe is me. Could you help me please?
-
1st: the file is not in "softcam folder", but in /USR/LIB folder (see attached pic on previous post) !
2nd, yes I just copy (transfer) the file I just send it to you, directly in /usr/lib folder.

Yeah man. That's where I put it. And changed permissions to 755.
Now getting libcrypto. I mean. You didn't just install an ipk or slap the binary in the softcams folder.
Instead of going back and forth and back and fortth. With all consideration that now libcrypto is showing an incompatible version.
Could you please jot the steps you did to get:
"Latest version "oscam-git11824-802@fe8b388a-armv7_generic-webif-dvbapi-ssl-libusb-emu-upx", works on my osmio4k+".
Perhaps a link or attach the exact version of ipk you are using or just the binary?
Because. This sucks. I used ViX for several years and this is getting to be a trip. Mushrooms included.I just unzipped osccam-11824, & rename it oscam-emu, as for every versions of oscam, so I don't have to modify the script every time. I just copy it in /usr/softcams folder with DCC-E2 program. I do not use .ipk files for updating my oscam-emu cause it is modifying all my config files including softcam.key file. If i use an .ipk file, i just unzip the oscam from the arm section, & rename it oscan-emu. This way, I always have my config files and not theirs.

We may have a language barrier here. Let's settle that.
Oh my. I wish I could be as smart as you fellows are. -
Just a question: do you have "libcrypto.so.1.1" also ? Some times I need both libcrypto & libssl versions.
-
Look back at #14. I do not have it and can't seem to locate it.
To answer your question. Yes.
I really really wish this linux stuff was not so difficult.
Becasue it makes me explain the difficulties in what somebody called gibberish.
It makes me feel so sad. Can someone teach me this linux stuff?
