Problem Gigablue QUAD UHD 4K

  • Hello everyone, I recently purchased a Gigablue QUAD UHD 4K, and it immediately showed a problem:

    when turning it off with the rear switch (or in the absence of power) when trying to turn it back on nothing happens; you need to completely remove the power, wait about ten minutes. then turn it on and at this point it starts normally.

    I asked the seller, who told me that it has always been like this, but he is absolutely in good faith, in fact he offered to take it back.

    I tried using a new power supply but the problem is the same.

    Does anyone have any idea what the defect could be?

    I would not be happy to return it because I have been using it these days and I like it a lot; furthermore it is very difficult to find it especially with a dual terrestrial tuner.

    On the other hand I would not want it to have problems with the internal power supply in a short time and abandon me

    What do you think?

  • wonder if gigablue will bring out a linux and android combine receiver?

    Android boxes for sat viewing never really work how you would want them to.


    A manufacturer could do a Dual boot box that has E2 for sat reception and Android for apps but disable the tuner part and concentrate on the running of apps.

  • I have a similar but slightly different problem.

    When I restart the device, the internet connection doesn't work.

    I turn off the device completely, wait at least 5 minutes, then turn it back on—the internet connection comes back.

    I contacted them and explained the situation. They couldn't find a solution. Even though it's still under warranty, I couldn't get a replacement.

    Gigablue is a completely trash brand. You should definitely stay away from it.

    And how are you connecting to internet wifi or ethernet no such problems here even though I use ethernet and have also tried connecting to wifi via inbuilt wifi on the gigablue quad pro just to test.

    Does that also hold for all android smart tv with sat tuners and I think there will be many :)


    But in saying that I remember when I bought zgemma h9 combo , thinking great android and enigma2 still waiting on official android os for it ,

    but it is still working away as satellite and iptv box.

    Both WiFi and Ethernet. The issue occurs on both.

    I even disabled the WiFi and Ethernet interfaces separately, but the problem persists.


    I tried all images. Installed completely clean images. TeamBlue, OpenATV, etc... But the issue never got fixed.

  • There's no problem with my other receiver. The issue is only with the Gigablue.

    It's a very strange problem, but I couldn't solve it no matter what I tried.

    So now you are saying it is not just the Quad 4K Pro device but also UHD Trio 4K Pro you have internet problems with if find that strange no one else has reported this problem.

    So now you are saying it is not just the Quad 4K Pro device but also UHD Trio 4K Pro you have internet problems with if find that strange no one else has reported this problem.

    Quad 4K Pro has this issue. I wanted to mention that these problems might also occur in the Trio 4K Pro. Generally problematic devices.
