Surely that is an error and it shouldn't be doing that. -

and messages log just to last boot info 26kb.

Is it possible to deactivate syslog on the box for preventing permanent r/w without any side effects ?
or is it better outsourcing the log on stick

logging setting is completely commented out on my box. So its going to always run at default level

i just checked massages log Feb 22 13:09:57 so it did add entry 7 minutes ago.

i was only referring to crash and debug logs. I have just read about syslog.config file

Whether this is a thing or not, I don't like things endlessly churning away.
I reduce most of my noise changing LOGLEVEL = 3 in syslog-startup.confand commenting out klogd lines in syslog.

I just ran E2iPlayer played a stream I have nothing logged but I would just forget it we have different devices and could spend forever compairing different things.
