    it has gone into lock mode all of a sudden can't do anything can't use remote control have to turn off the back of the dreambox DM920


    don't know why it does it


    maybe record and watch it at the same time


    maybe there is an error that freezes the dreambox so have to turn off the back then it works fine

    I just switched to openatv 7.6 and used the flash on line method, it’s a hs2, but getting strange behaviours, first one was error re auto timer as I don’t use it I removed, tried to flash 7.5 and it would down load but can’t flash, got Slyk skin went to remove it won’t budge, croossepg when I turn off schedule updates I get software error and some mention about python. Is this all image related, really weird. I upgraded from 6.4 and used restore. I can’t flash a clean image, won’t let me.

    well I was deliberating that but dosy danny, but now it wont let me flash again!! I have 2 entries for usb one under media and the other under hdd both have same contents. When I go to device manager I have 2 entries, sda and sda1. sda says USB: DISK2, SDA1 says DSK1: /media/hdd ext r/w. When I flash online and this time I opted for 7.5.1 I get error move mounts to new root, abort flashing. I did swop USB when setting up a swap file that I have since deleted.



    How do I delete and remount usb as hdd? New to openatv.

    Select device and initialize and it is correct it does show as sda and sda1 also why 7.5.1 it is (EOL) end of line no more updates flash 7.6

    or select sda1 press ok

    I set up new USB as you showed above opted for HDD and then tried with USB as mount.


    How do I move mounts to new root?

    I don't know what you mean by move mounts to new root have you rebooted device since you just mounted and I honestly dont know if it should be mounted as media/hdd and not media/usb

    no ill do a reboot now as i keep forgetting that step but when it aborts it reboots so ill do a hard reboot i can post a pic in a littel while, off out for an hour

    Right to resolve it this is what I did, all from memory, I created a mutiboot function on a 32gb usb with 3 slots. See 2 pics. And a pic of when I select multiboot.


    It works like a dream slyk skin and top picks, and runs quite very fast.


    My queries are 1 when I ftp in I assume I am now accessing the usb stick and not the main box?

    2 What is ubif flash slot?

    3 I take out the usb and reboot it will load old corrupted image?

    4. How do I get new 7.6 loaded on box?

    How do I turn off geolocation? Also I could not get the network to work with DHCP turned off. As a matter of interest this box is only going to be used for watching all the FTA channels on 28east. Do I need the network as I no longer know what downlods via internet and what is via sat.


    I'm using a zgemma H2S with swap and flash expander only32gb usb ,but thats what they want, in use and I am well impressed but dont like the geolocation bit and why is it required?
