AutoBouquetMaker - Changes names to N/A

  • Why, when I use AutoBouquetMaker, does it change the names in other bouquets to N/A, even though I select not to change other existing bouquets?

Even when I do it for only one satellite, e.g. 28e, it changes the names to N/A (not all of them) in bouquets from other satellites such as 13e.

    Can this be prevented?

  • Did you update provider files before running ABM.

FreeSat UK used to cause some issues if selected - I don't know if it still does, as I always select Sky UK.

A couple of reason why you might get N/A. One is it cant find the service reference. So ABM and your Lamedb file are out of sync.

Also look in etc/enigma2/ and see if any userbouquets are marked for deletion. They will have a .del extension. (If you have any of them you need to restart your gui)

Also every reference in etc/enigma2/bouquets.tv should have a reference and corresponding file to an existing userbouquet....tv file.

  • It was before,

That's how it was before, now I wanted to return to the topic, and I see that UK Free Sat has disappeared from the provider list! There is only FreeView, and there seems to be a problem with the ABM version:

    Code
    [ABM-UpdateProviders][_init__) Starting...
    [ABM-UpdateProviders][checkRemote Version] Local version: 3.4 [
    ABM-UpdateProviders][checkRemoteVersion] Remote version: 3.5
    [ABM-UpdateProviders][checkRemote Version] Incompatible versions: 3.4 > 3.5
    [ABM-UpdateProviders] _ init] Starting...
    [ABM-UpdateProviders][checkRemote Version] Local version: 3.4
    ABM-UpdateProviders][checkRemote Version] Remote version: 3.5
    [ [ABM-UpdateProviders][checkRemote Version] Incompatible versions: 3.4 > 3.5"

I am using Open BH 5.6.004.

    How can I upgrade?

The current ABM is part of the OBH package.

Updating provider files is not essential. It just updates any hacks/swaps and any tuning parameters in the file. The processing will be done by the plugin itself.

For an updated plugin, just wait for an image update, the plugin will be updated too. You are not losing out on much, just some menu/option of changes. See comment in the ABM thread.

As above, the N/A in other bouquets is because those service references are no longer in your lamedb. ABM reads and then writes lamedb, so if they were wrong to begin with, they will be corrected later. It is either the bouquet editor you are using or the channel list provider.

Can you please provide a lamedb before ABM runs and one after. Also a debug log showing you use ABM. Ensure no IPTV login details are in log file.

  • Has this been resolved?

Today, I have more time, so I will try and write what and how. The latest Open BH 5.6.005 image still has ABM 3.4, not 3.5.

    Also

I don't quite understand the last sentence:

    Code
Can you please provide a lamedb before ABM runs and one after. Also a debug log showing you use ABM. Ensure no IPTV login details are in log file.

Can you write to me how to do this and what I should provide?

I would really like to have ABM, especially for channels from UK Freeview and FreeSAT. So that they would update automatically. I update other lists manually because they are sorted according to my preferences.

    Thanks

  • Working!

I did a image flash from scratch, set up what I had, and tried again, and this time it's OK! I don't have N/A in other bouquets.

    Everything looks fine.

There is just one small issue.

    - freeView - it doesn't see SD channels. HD channels are there. When I do a manual scan of the terrestrial television tuner, everything works. However, ABM doesn't see the frequency (?) of the transponder, as I understand it.

There is an option, DVB-T freq finder. I did it, but it flashed green a few times, and at the end there was a message saying ‘no transponder found’.

I am 100% sure that I entered the correct region, because I know exactly where the transmitter is.

  • If you setup freeview correctly in ABM ,

DVB-T freq finder should find transponders and make other entry in ABM for your region

    Capture2.PNG

And also make terrestrial_finder.xml in Etc/enigma2/AutoBouquetsMaker/providers folder.

As for SD channels they do not have SD in name just the same as sky channels

Someone else posted a terrestrial issue on another forum. Maybe you guys are in the same region and there is a local issue/change. Which mast are you receiving signal from? Show your tuner configuration please.

So the bottom line is ABM is failing when you run Freeview.

Leave ABM to one side for now. Try Terrestrial scan plugin, does it find channels?

    We need debug log.

  • FreeView works flawlessly (Scanning directly from the terrestrial TV tuner.)

When I scan terrestrial television, it finds everything that is there.

The problem with ABM is that when it scans transponders (frequencies), a green square appears where it should be (I wrote down which channels have a signal), something happens (a circle indicating operation spins) and then it goes to the next channel (frequency) and does not save it. It's not so much a reception problem, because that's fine, but with ABM in my image (Open BH).

After performing ABM, the SD channels are supposedly saved in the list, but when I switch on, I see that the tuner is not initialised (it is greyed out; when it is working, it is green). Some HD channels work. In the last scan bouquet, everything works. So it's not a problem with the television or the transmitter, but rather with ABM. Interestingly, FreeSat works flawlessly.

I hope what I've written makes sense.

The last change to the Freeview provider file in ABM was 3 months ago, to deal with a change of frequencies in Darvel.

ABM is not locking on the frequencies listed for your mast then. If you answer the following questions, it may help solve your issue. If you don't answer, then it is going to be impossible.

    1. Please show screenshots of both your Terrestrial tuner configuration. Not just the overview.

    2. Which mast is your aerial pointing to.

    3. Double check it is the one recommended for your postcode on the Freeview website.

    4. Which receiver is this?

    5. Provide clear screenshots of your ABM configuration main page as well as the Freeview provider options. Or better still, provide debug log.

    6. Please show screenshots of the scanning option you used in Enigma2 scanning. How many channels did you find?

  • I think I’ll leave it at that; I’ve been really busy with other things, so I haven’t been able to sort it out.

I came back today and updated the image, but it’s still not working, so I’ll leave it at that.

    I’ll try a different image.

I’m using an Xbox tuner via USB.

I don’t know why, but when I scan for channels in the tuner settings, it finds everything, but ABM can’t find any multiplexes.

    Thanks for your help.

  • abu baniaz , different subject the other day i removed one of my iptv providers and deleted bouquets via bouquetsmakerxtream. but those bouquets were still in keep bouquets when I checked ABM log I had to manually remove the provider from etc/enigma2 settings file config.autobouquetsmaker.keepbouquets.

  • No logs or screenshots of settings, so nothing can be done. Surely it is not that hard to upload them.

I suspect that because the Xbox USB tuner never gives a signal value, ABM treats it as a failure to get a lock.

That might be the reason, but when I do a standard scan and select ‘All UK regions’, it finds all the channels.
