not sure weather to go for a motor or multi lnb system. Would prefer a motor but if I was to tune different satellites at night could it create enough noise for neighbors to hear?
How loud are motors

They don't make any noise.

Mine is completely silent, you have nothing to worry about.

Mine isn't that loud at all, at least no one has complained so far. It's on the garage roof outside daughters bedroom and she can barely hear it. No idea what make or wether is has metal or plastic gears - but it's quiet.

I thought the same when i first got one living in a block of flats with my dish mounted on the back wall bang in the middle of 5 neighbours living room windows.
My neighbours tell me they havent heard a sound, I hear it turning myself but only if i mute the telly with the window open. Hope this helps -
Using Technomate 2200 very little noise and only lasts for a few secs while changing satellites

remember it?s suggested that you have a clear view of 5 metres from east to west whereas noise ,havent heard a thing in 3 years..
ilusion motsat3 with plastic gears..

I have metal gears in my motor and its located near to my sons window and he is a very light sleeper and it has not woken him up and my neighbour likes to complain about everything and hes not mentioned it so he cant hear it either.

Very little noise on my TM metal gear, its attached to the wall outside my daughters bedroom so was a little worried but you can only just hear it if you stand outside in complete silence.
