  • The above is a post i just came across on another forum, and let me say that i take absolutely no pleasure in this users misfortune.

The thing that scares the absolute living ~ insert expletive here ~ out of me, is what would have happened if this thing had gone up in smoke in the early hours of the morning while this guy and his family were asleep ?.

Is it really worth dying in a house fire just to save a few quid by buying this trash ?.

  • Is it possible he connected the bridge to 12volts and then used the usb
during setup, when the 12v meets the 5v supply you will
damage the usb port ect (maybe back to the psu and
blow that as well then you will get smoke ect..)

OK lets stop the scaremongering, buying a clone may leave you out of pocket but its never going to burn your house down.

  • to clear the air on my side, i am not cutting down clones as i have went through enough
of them, just having repaired several (maybe hundreds ) psu's in my time
    on sats,tv,video and so on.
i never heard of of a house fire especially when your dealing with low voltage LOL!!!..
