Cccam sid assign make a huge difference to the amount of sucsessful ecm handled by your local card, there are programmes to do this for you but this is how i do it and prefer as it saves the need to build a bouquet containing only the channels your card opens.This will stop all requests to your card for channels which it does not open.
There is an auto assign feature in cccam which makes this much easier,here's how it is done
Just let CCCam do the job for you
1. You set the "SMARTCARD SID ASSIGN" line in Cccam.cfg to a high number. For example 100,
i have a DM500, and my local slot is identified as sci0, so i start setting my line to:
SMARTCARD SID ASSIGN : /dev/sci0 100 { } and restart my CCCam
2. Here comes the smart part: Now enter your.dyndns.org:16001 in your webbrowser, and
choose the "Entitlements" page.
3. Now, with your DM remote, zap through only the channels that your card opens, and
refresh the entitlements page while you do this, to see the results. CCCam will
automatically choose the correct SIDs as you zap through your channels!,copy & paste the
assigned sids into your cfg.
4. When done, count the amount of SIDs assigned in the "Entitlements" page, and now
replace the number 100, which we assigned in the beginning, with the correct amount of
SIDs chosen. So, if your card have 43 SIDs that it opens, your line will now look like:
SMARTCARD SID ASSIGN : /dev/sci0 43 { sid1, sid2, .....sid43, }
5. Restart your CCCam and you are done!
