Pfff, that's impossible to tell. There is NO Best image.
I think PLI is great (for your wife's happiness) It's simple and .... well, that's it.
Also like NewNigma, great looks and stable, but not always that stable with new plug-ins.
I hate OoZoon, stable, but ugly... really..(but that's my opinion)
Dream Elite was great to, but the original crew stopped, so don't try it cause the original server is down.
I'm running OpenPLI upstairs, and NewNigma in the living room. OpenPLI is the one I prefer most. Stable and Easy...

Basicly, all images are fine. You just have to try them ALL and see with one you like most.

I have to say i think The DreamElite images are the best, with the most functions, and best epg. I use the Phoenix edition on my boxand the downloads panel works fine, also on the original images the download panel is functional again. I don't really think any of the other images come close to DreamElite to be honest.

Pli is a very simple image ideal for newbies.Newnigma2 3.2.2 as great picture on hdtv very stable,tried nearly all others but this is the one comes highly Recommended it is superb.

the DBUK image is great and has great support, built in bouquet updaters and with crosspeg it has uk epg no problem

I am now a fan of the new ssl84 version of dream elite everything working,cannot get the new gp3 to install newcamd.list var/keys usr does not open with double click.

Now nemesis 2.4 is my choice but would like the use of crossepg without using enigma experimental as the picture breaks up a lot.

For me i like gemini image because anyone can install pakages easily like: plugins , skins,cams......etc

nemesis 2.4 for me dont like merlin ,other images ok some green screen images when not tested properly before release.Waiting for dream elite 4.0 seems a very good image.I used to like gemini but not found a recent ssl84 release.

I like Dream Elite .. this image is great and has great supports.

just changed to dream elite 3, works great just with it came with ts plugin.

I like OpenPLi the most. Looks good, not much useless clutter and easy to use.
On all the images I've tried on my dm800HD (clone) I have a problem with mytube. Green screen all the time! I know I could just use my pc for youtube, but some things would be nice to watch on the big screen.

Openpli all the way, very clean with nightly updates, plus some plugins built in as standard eg... Timeshift, cccam
And a good forum to boot.
