    i have a xtrend 9500 running a open pli image.
    my question is does mgcam work better then ccam if so how hard is it to install and what version should i use , also is there a better image to use with mgcam.

    cheers guys . i did search but think i didnt input the right question.
    as for inspiral what are usr keys , and where do i get a newcamd.lst file??

    Yes as above I now use mgramd find it more stable than ccam yesterday watching darts had amiko running mgrand perfect dream 500 clitching same server

    hi guys update.
    i have loaded TSpanel easier than i thought.
    ive put on the newcamd list and added my N lines as stated but not working.
    2 questions
    1: do the N lines have to be entered seperately or on the same line
    2: do i have to turn off the lines from the CCam

    Tspanel loaded ok
    newcamd list loaded ok
    newcmd list edited.
    2 questions
    1: i have two N lines do these go on the same line
    2: does ccam have to be turned off in DCC

    Add each line to seperate CWS in newcamnd.list minus the N:


    so eg-> CWS friends.dns.org 12000 uiser pass 01 02 03 etc etc 14
    can also try adding lan at end of des key = eg -> 10 11 12 13 14 lan


    also if still no joy? try change the attributes of newcamnd list to 755
    after any changes... always goodthing to give receiver a reboot

    noticed on the newcamnd list theres a port number this was preset do i have to input my po

    If you add an N line to newcamd.list mgcamd will not recognise it, you need to convert it to CWS =


    Example:~


    N: myfriend.dyndns.com 15000 myname mypass 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14


    Convert to


    CWS = myfriend.dyndns.com 15000 myname mypass 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

    No joy
    the ipk file i used was from post 6 in this thread would you be able to check that its ok?

    this is my N: line with subtle changes.
    CWS = xxxxxx.dyndns.tv 21000 ratkins xxxxxxxx 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
    i put the camdlist in urs - keys as per previous quote
    any ideas
    the line works perfectly as a N line.but want the more stable mgcam

    i know it sounds daft but i have a vu duo and when i used mgcamd 1.38 for some reason it would not work but if i use mgcamd 1.35a with the same newcand list and mg.cfg
    file it works fine and thats on vix 3.0 vu duo
