  • hey guys, i have a quick question, my entitlements are due to expire soon, i have been looking into oscam webif. if i edit things via webif - like the reader name, would this effect stick ...........(change the oscam.server file?)

last time i failed update as the reader name in oscam and CCcam files didnt match. i have been lazy and left the server to run itself 'if it aint broke.......'

but the time has come to update entitlements

i will be double checking my settings for AU. 'but will prob put in original box the day before unless it AU's via server.

  • yep buddy, any changes made in Oscam Webif will stick/be made! Just takes the boredom out of dos like format/basic editor lol

If you have it setup correctly it should update about 3/4 weeks before due date,

If you have just setup leave it over night on a premium channel and it should update itself

  • i will be making the reader names match very shortly (tonight) they expire on the 19/2 not a big fan of messing around with the configs as the server hasnt missed a beat since set-up. hopefully everything will be fine, just me being paranoid about messing the files up (although i backed up all files just before last expiry date

    thank you,

  • just to confirm, i have edited my files from the backups i had. could you check to make sure everything is ok?

cant belive i am worried about update, next task will be fun, i amm running on a 32bit machine. had a 64 sat ther for 2 weeks with the plan to switch to that :/

  • hello brendan r u using a oscam cccam combo, dont no if this will relate to your problem or not, i use oscam and cccam 2.1.3, and i have no problems updating the card i use a single connection in cccam a box in my house, and it auto updates whenever its ready, in cccam i use this at the end of the c line C: 192.168.0.12 12000 example example 1 0 1 { 0:0:1 } and it works, also tried it as i saw it written on a tutorial 0.0.1 but i couldnt get the channels to clear, in oscam webinfo it says AU ON.... for the reader its using.

hope this helps havnt used oscam alone to update as cccam works for me, like i said hope this helps, if your using pure oscam i havnt tried that ATM,

good luck all the best TG

  • hey TG thanks for the reply, the box i am using hasnt got any 1 0 1 { 0:0:1 }

on my CCcam.cfg i have F: bedroom box
and on the box i have 192.168.0.9 ***** bedroom box

do you think this could be causing a problem?

  • hello bud, poss could b the problem, the only way is to try it, thats exactly how mine is set up in my dm500 as i look now 3 emm written in cccam webinfo, and expiry in oscam webinfo is 30/3/2013.

its the second 1 in the 1.0.(1)that allows updates to card, like i said in my oscam webinfo all other boxes have AU OFF but that single one has AU on, u really only want 1 box sendings EMMS to update your card, there is a reason for this but ive forgotten (twat) lmao. but leave your box reading a premium channel ***1 or *** news/sports/movies take your pick wait a day or 2 and go from there all of a sudden they should start coming through. also just checking your reader config and i dont have blockemm-u = 0 blockemm-s = 0 in my reader dont no if they r needed or not, that is a qustion for a more advanced user than me for oscam.

    cheers TG
