    help wanted ive just got my Amiko SHD-8900 Alien today and iam not getting any channels at all on my tv i have a channel list installed on it but iam having on joy at all hope someone can help me out many thanks

    Do a scan, then you'll have channels.


    Not sure about Spark but in Enigma 2 press menu, settings, tuner configuration, autoscan.


    It will take about half an hour.

    USALS won't have anything to do with it. If your box is scanning and finding the channels then that isn't the issue.


    When you say you have no picture does any warning or anything come up on the screen when you press OK on the remote?

    That will be dish alignment if its scanning and your not getting any channels.


    You need to set your receiver up for USALS if on a motorised dish, if on a fixed dish it will need alignment to the required satellite.


    If you need to set up USALS, you need to go into Menu -> service Searching-> Tuner Configuration.


    You then need to input your co-ordinates as you would have on your 5kybox F3.

    You need to put the co-ordinates in where the red spots are. The screen shot is from my Giagblue Receiver but it should be near enough the same on your Alien.

    That method is for Enigma. I never used Spark, i thought it was a horrendous operating system.

    Reveivers as AMIKO 8900 Alien, AMIKO2, Golden Media Triplex, Etc. belong to the kind of FULAN
    receivers, so in some ways are different for other ones but they use the same DCC as the
    DREAMBOX and CCcam or OSCAM as well. They are difficult to program so we must have patience
    and experience and you must have the DREAMBOX DCC. Amiko1 has proc. 7111. AMIKO2 have 7162


    SPARK


    1º- If you have the image above xx51 you must update the image in the menu to xx51 (It is in SPARK menu)
    because it has the new BOOTLOADER for SPARK and ENIGMA2. It take time. After you must update to xx61 and not
    or other ( EUROPE )
    2º-This image works with Cccam but the image does not have it, so you must get the plugin named "plugin"
    and then put it in a pen FORMATED in FAT32. Go to plugin menu and load it
    Then you have Cccamxx14. Key and it must be GREEN.
    3º- Now you have Cccam and Cccam.cfg. Go to /VAR/KEYS/ and edit Cccam.cfg as the same
    with DREAMBOX with DCC. Normaly users only use ENIGMA2

    1º- Get in this forum a HDMU image ( 7162 ) is the best and have almost everything.
    After, I remember to get the REVOLUTION SKINS ( Black ) ( White ) etc. because
    these skins are exclusive of the HDMU image.
    2º- Get a pen formated in FAT32 and make a folder " enigma2 "
    3º- After decompress the image, you will get 2 files and send them to " enigma2" pen
    4º- Receiver OFF
    Pen with the image in the back usb
    Key ON + O.K. at same time
    When you see Force, leave the key OK
    Key CH- till you see Enig.
    key volume +
    It will flash. It take time
    When you see Succ and then BOOT, take off the pen
    5º- In enigma2 it works with OSCAM. It is in menu. There are 2 OSCAM, 6666 and other
    I use OSCAM 6666 and to activate you must go to menu the HDMU center and key GREEN
    Before you have to go to the plugin menu and get it there. There you will find plenty of
    plugins to download.
    6º - The OSCAM works like the Cccam and you will find to edit in /VAR/KEYS/OSCAM.server
    just follow instructions
    ENABLE = 1
    FILE = xxxxxxxxx,port
    USER= xxxxxxxxxx
    PASS= xxxxxxxxxx


    There are much more to say but you must be-cool and you will get more experience.....
