    I tried updating through spark.i have a 8900 amiko alien so I couldn't update through front usb.enigma upgrade just stuck in load.will try again and post results.cheers

    Em did you load it through spark as its the way I backed it up. I sent Dropbox link to friend last note and he's up and running and I just downloaded it again at another friends there now. Just running autobouquets at the minute for him..

    Is this a spark image or enigma2 image?


    Can you tell me how you went about backing this image up. I would like to back my final image up when I get it to the way I like it. Thanks in advance Data

    This is an enigma 2 image. It's the new pli with the tuner fix (no more judder). Boot to spark, go menu, plugins e2upgrade. Red to start. Red to upgrade mine (or someone else's) green to backup you own..

    Might be an idea to flash back to another image and hen try this one again. I heard a few had to do this on other images.. Iv personally put this image on 5 8900s. Make sure your USB is formatted to fat32 and the 2 files are on the root of the usb, no within a folder...


    This seems to fix the judder problem, however, I have a motorised dish setup and the positioner plugin seems to be missing from the service searching menu? Also the download plugins isn't working for me either? Can anyone advise how to resolve this please?

    hello thanks for image , doesnt work with me either....i have loaded through spark but no joy.I have installed engineerkhan image which was very good, just had hd judder.thanks to all of you clever people trying to teach us newbies. Any ideas how to install this????

    So you loaded both files, e2jffs2.img, uImage onto formatted fat32 usb stick,update e2 via spark plugin e2updrade, select c drive for files, should take 7 mins or so.


    Then put box into e2 mode and it should boot :snicker:

    It shouldn't take long or at least didn't for me? Takes under 2 mins for me but maybe depends on your USB stick? However, the only way I could get it to work was putting the image on a USB stick formatted to FAT32. Originally I had the image on my linux HDD drive and it took 15 secs to load and clearly hadn't loaded it correctly.
