Sly sports 4 HD (0FA4) Still clearing 11719H
Enjoy it while it lasts
Cheers mate, I knew it wasn't part of the black out just yet. I scanned 28.2 yesterday and tried ss4 but didn't pick it up on this frequency, quick scan just now and its found it.
11719 is *** sports 1 not 4

Correct, I had a quick scan & it came up as SS4 & cleared, never checked the actual Channel, just assumes Sly would have them named correctly
there is no way to come back hd channels?
there is no way to come back hd channels?
Yes there is, but will cost you £67 per month.

u think they would still be missing if there was a workaround?
Quoteu think they would still be missing if there was a workaround?
Of course they would be still missing if there was a workaround!
Nobody in their right minds are going to put in all this hard work, long hours & expertise to go public with a workaround/patch on Day Zero..
(Not even half the HD Channels are gone yet)
If there was a solution to this issue, I would not expect to hear a whisper of it for at least 6 months.
if word did get out, they would be jeopardising everything they had done..
respectfully disagree, if there was a fix line providers would be all over it as its a chance for them to make more money by selling new lines, using some crappy story about how its all incompatible with their old lines.
when did the HD channels go on SLY IT? were still waiting on a fix for that.
There is a workaround to this but as someone said it wont be released until all HD channels have gone and only then money will be made by the implementers before eventually going public

Sly Sports News HD and Sly Sports 3 HD gone this morning :(
soemone found this which is very interesting:
QuoteThe last batch of customer HD channels to make the switch will be on Thursday 26th June if all goes to plan which it looks as though it is doing. There's 5 other batches before then though.
The switchover actually started on the 1st April but it was just *** Insider that made the switch.
This guy was prompted to reveal his source.
His response:
QuoteDisplay MoreI'm part of some private communities for ***, were given more information than the public, some of which can be conveyed to the public, used to fix faults and help inform them ect.
The rest is subject to NDA so can't be disclosed, such as some things which are being worked on.
I have a table listing what channels will be updated when, this is because there's a possibility that some people may loose access to the HD channels when the encryption changes even if they have a compatible box, this will happen if the there viewing card wasn't correctly paired during the first phase. These people need to be prompted to phone *** and have there viewing card repaired.
The Thomson boxes will also permanently loose the HD channels which use the new pairing mechanism. So subscription customers with one of these boxes will need to be prompted to phone *** and arrange for a free replacement.
***'s also started displaying an on screen message regularly on the old Thomson HD boxes prompting them to phone *** for a replacement.
I don't think I should post the exact dates ect, but I will say that itv2 HD, itv3HD and itv4HD are on the table for the same date to be updated to the new encryption. ItvHD isn't on the table.
Interestingly BTSport isn't on the table.
On whether SD channels will also be "paired":
QuoteDisplay MoreI'm not aware of there being any plans to migrate SD channels to the new system.
The supported HD boxes are the only boxes which have the Receiver ID and associated software on them to support the new system.
If they wanted to implement the new pairing/encryption system on the old SD boxes they would need to develop it for the old OpenTV middleware and update the SD boxes.
The whole thing's been a long time in the works, the Receiver ID was added in the R005 software if I remember correctly.
I'm sure *** has some secret plan for the future.
I read that post on an Irish board, it does sound very plausible but could be someone wording up what most of us already know
