    dreambox 1 shows online in the user section of the web i/f.... Using oscam 5809

    Any help really appreciated guys

  • Oscam doesn't need the boxid as it can read it direct from a sly card.

    Think I'd be more worried about the "Channel Not Subscribed" I'd assume this means the card has no sub to ppv channels, or just movies and sports?

  • Cheers Master G it was the boxkey. ifcforever, I have tried without the boxkey when I first setup oscam and it didn't work I have always had to enter the boxkey. For some reason my boxkey was changed in oscam server?? but now I have redone it everything now OK. Top forum Top support

    PS Fookin squirrell has chewed through an ethernet cable going to my granny annexe so one box down at mo

    This probably happened while looking at settings in oscam web info, it is very easy to change your configs in there without realizing it.

  • I only set up Oscam last Friday night, I spent a week researching different versions and different setups, Debian and Ubuntu mostly.

    Installed Ubuntu 10.10 first, then the required drivers for the omnikey, set up oscam and my files, it worked straight away, no boxid/key needed, logs showed me it read the card fine.

    Below may help, test it and see how you get on.

    svn build #5070

    Ubuntu 10.10

    Omnikey 3121

    [reader]
    label = ***uk
    protocol = pcsc
    device = 0
    detect = cd
    group = 1
    caid = 0963
    ident = 0963:000000
    blockemm-unknown = 1
    blockemm-u = 1
    blockemm-s = 1
    blockemm-g = 1

    Which version of oscam can do this ?
    This has been discussed here before but nobody has come up with the answer.

  • Nope (slybox been in a cupboard for years), I been using cccam to update own card locally for a long time, as said mate still very new to it, what I did was set au = 1 for my own 800.

    Please feel free to point me in the right direction, always open to ideas and suggestions, appreciate you pointing this out as well, thanks.

    You are blocking all EMMs with that config so wont get any entitlements, are you updating your card in the slybox ?

  • OK, just to add to this and a big thanks to rossi2000 (was by reading a lot of his posts on oscam I learned most of this and the wiki)

    To get updates

    Once updates recieved you can switch back to

    This is personal choice of each user, just a matter of switching back and forth when you know the time is right. Think i'll go with switching back and forth until I learn more.

    And don't forget to set au=1 on local box on your own local acc.

    Good Luck.

    oscam 1.00 unstable_svn build #4600 on a dm500 with openpli does not need boxid to clear the channels I left it blank/empty boxid = (blank), I recently added it in just in case because I was worred about the card updating.

  • OK everybody thanks for input but my original post was channels not clearing. It was fixed by the boxkey I am running windows oscam and pheonix cardreader. I was running debian 6 and oscam svn 5692 and had to put boxkey in that.

    My problem now is that the channels clear ok and then freeze after about 10 mins. I switch channel to another sports channel and blank screen again?? I have to restart oscam and they will clear again. Web i/f looks ok but as a newbie there may be stuff in there I am not seeing. Box says online card reader shows good and all entitlements ok. First time I have used a pheonix reader as I used a smargo on my debian server. Could it be pheonix reader

    Cheers guys

  • To rule out the phoenix reader try the smargo and see how it goes.

    "Windows oscam" not sure why anyone would use windows for this.

    Maybe try a different build of oscam with your current setup to see if that solves the problem, maybe best to go back to debian/reader/oscam?

    Good Luck.

  • same thing lfc. really strange. anyway I tried to go back to my debian server and thought I would update to latest oscam so run this....

    root@steve67474:/usr/src# svn co oscam - Revision 5352: /trunk oscam
    svn: invalid option:
    Type 'svn help' for usage.

    and got that response back svn invalid option?? followed tuts but cant seem to update any thoughts

  • Have you setup the smartcard clock frequency on the reader itself with the nftytool ?

    If not you need to look here, Tutorial: How to install Infinity USB programmer on a Debian with CCcam

    Done that Master G funny thing is I put smargo on the windows oscam and this is what my server looks like...

    [reader]
    label = ***_uk
    protocol = mouse
    device = /dev/ttyS1
    caid = 0963
    boxid = xxxxxxxxxx
    detect = cd
    mhz = 357
    cardmhz = 357
    group = 1
    emmcache = 1,3,2
    blockemm-unknown = 1
    blockemm-g = 1
    lb_weight = 101

    its on com2 web if seems to detect card ok
