  • Hi Guys
    I am running oscam on a debian server at the moment. Also have it running on windows 7. My question is will the card auto update when its in a linux box or PC using smargo? or does it need to be in the sat box. I saw this tut by ten below http://linuxsat-support.com/os…pdating-entitlements.html and my settings are like that but have noticed that this seems to refer to oscam running on the dreambox not on an external server. My entitlements run out tonight midnight so should I have to put the sly card in the original box or should it update on my debian server. Cheers guys

  • Where do I put that? it looks like it goes into ccam.cfg. Are you saying I have to put that in all three of my dms? I am not running oscam on the dreamboxes I am running it on a debian server so my card is on a smargo in a linux box. BTW it didn't update. More expires on 17th so I may have to stick it in sly box. Oh my config file looks like this....
    [global]
    nice = -1
    WaitForCards = 1
    logfile = stdout
    preferlocalcards = 1
    saveinithistory = 1

    [webif]
    httpport = xxxx
    httpuser = admin
    httppwd = admin
    httpallowed = 127.0.0.1,192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255
    # protocols

    port = 15xxx@0963:000000;10001@0963:000000

    and my server looks like this...
    [reader]
    label = sly_uk
    protocol = mouse
    device = /dev/ttyUSB0
    caid = 0963
    boxid = xxxxxxxx
    detect = cd
    mhz = 357
    cardmhz = 357
    group = 1
    emmcache = 1,3,2
    blockemm-unknown = 1
    blockemm-g = 1
    lb_weight = 101

    All channels seem to be working? but is is what is in my oscam reader info

    On main screen of oscam for reader it says "Card OK 15 entitlements" I am sure it was more than that before 15th

  • Easiest way is set a user account for ur main box as standard,

    Add the line into user account

    Au=sly_uk

    All other accounts add

    Au=0

    Then just add n-line into your main box (as your config setup is newcamd)

    The entitlements will update no probs! - works for me!

    If u have 2 cards use 2 separate accounts in 2 boxes , or a person u trust with an n line for the second!

  • Thanks deerhunter just looked at my oscam user file and had AU = *** UK in all three accounts. now have done main account with AU=SLY_UK and all others 0. I will syop and start oscam later to enable changes should my 15th expiry date update ok now or do I need to stick it in sly box?

    New account config ...

    [account]
    user = xxxxxxxxxx
    #description = for local mgcamd or DVBAPI
    pwd = xxxxxxxx
    disabled = 0
    uniq = 1
    group = 1
    au=Sly_UK
    caid = 0963:000000

  • cheers deerhunter I had AU = *** UK in all three accounts now look like this...

    [account]
    user = xxxxxxxxx
    #description = for local mgcamd or DVBAPI
    pwd = xxxxxxxxx
    disabled = 0
    uniq = 1
    group = 1
    au=Sly_UK
    caid = 0963:000000

    [account]
    user = xxxxxxxxx2
    #description = for local mgcamd or DVBAPI
    pwd = xxxxxxx
    disabled = 0
    uniq = 1
    group = 1
    au=0
    caid = 0963:000000

    [account]
    user = xxxxxxxxx3
    #description = for local mgcamd or DVBAPI
    pwd = xxxxxx
    disabled = 0
    uniq = 1
    group = 1
    au=0
    caid = 0963:000000

  • oops did a reply but it didn't register so redid it now I have three Sorry guys LOL. I found o tip on forcing update to hold backup button down on sly box whilst booting then wait for 4 lights to come on. Did that and it said *** woz updating software please wait6 for 10 mins. all that completed but card entitlements didn't update. Tip says they should have. Is this true? eventually phoned sly and said box woz off when update happened so they zapped the card for me

  • hello,

    a try to help

    in oscam.server on you server running your s** card, you have :

    and in oscam.user :

    then you switch on some channel on s** uk on your main dreambox and see what happens... (maybe you have to watch a specific channel to get the update ?)

    you should see if there is an update in oscam webif (in READERS part, EMM written UK / G / S / UQ)

  • steve you accounts look fine , once they are in make sure your boxes are running cccam 2.1.3 (no others work properly) add an n-line to your cccam.cfg file and updates will deffo come through:

    Nline would be :

    N: ip-address port-no user password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 256

    Your box will then report hop 0 and your box will be tricked into being a local card

    Also the au=sly_uk must match the label=sly_uk in the config file so it knows that that user can update!

    Note : add cccam on a different port in config of your debian to share your card to other peers NOT N. Lines! (also needs adding in router port forward)

    Eg :

    [cccam]
    port=10002 # can be anything you choose , edit as required)
    version=2.1.4
    cccreshare=1

    This will allow any user you give a c-line to to connect to your debian with 1 reshare

    or you can omit cccreshare line and add cccreshare line into each user account to control different users reshare options

    FINALLY : i dont have the ident line in my server but my caid is caid = 0963:000000 in reader section

    Hope that helps , dont forget card only updates entitlements around same time each month so dont panic too much!

  • Thanks deerhunter, I am running ccam 2.2.1 on all my boxes do I have to downgrade to 2.1.3 for updates to work. Am only locally sharing at mo as Vermin media have fooked the network around my area and its taking 3 months to resolve. packet losses like fook. Just using Nlines on my three 800s and all working good.
