  • Hi

    For a while I get a lot of freezing on a lot of channels. I have a share from a friend who is sharing his sly card with about 8 people. He uses cccam 2.1.4, I was at another friends house last night who also get a share from the same box and he hardly had any freezing.

    I have tried cccam 2.3 and am currently using oscam but still no joy, the issue may be related to my isp/powerline home plug but I just want to make sure that my oscam is setup correctly before I try and connect the router directly to the box which is a vu+ duo running BH2.1.4. I only have a frees&t card which I am not sharing.

    My files are as below:

  • Is it working? ;)

    Try your line in mgcamd, its quite easy to setup, and caches responses unlike CCCam (or so I read when I was learning about the different cams) :)

  • try turning your router off for a minute, failing that open a command prompt on your pc and type tracert to your serverip in your case '192.168.0.00' (I am assuming this was edited to keep the data confidential).

    If you are unfamiliar with Trace Route, there is an explanation here - http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/162326

    The user in [dvbapi] and [account] don`t match. This same account needs configured for both groups and readers.

    Code
    [account]
    user = [COLOR='#FF0000']localuser[/COLOR]
    group = 1,[COLOR='#FF0000']2[/COLOR]
    au = 1
    keepalive = 1

    There isn`t anything else you can tweek in oscam that will improve ecm time on a remote reader. All this is done at server level..

    The freezing is likely coming from the homeplugs, but you won`t know that until you hard wire the receiver to the router and test..

    Sorry where is the above setting please.

    I do not have a long enough ethernet cable so will order one and give a direct connection a go as I think the homeplug is the issue as well. Are there any wifi usb that work with the Vu+Duo out off the box.

    Thank you

  • [Q UOTE=master G;257579]The above settings is in oscam.user. I had similar issues with homeplugs but now use NETGEAR WGSP606 Wireless Print Server..[/QUOTE]
    Thanks, how does this work. Can I have it next to the vu connected via Ethernet and print server connected to the wifi router?

    Will try and do a bit more reading on it as don't want to run an Ethernet cable outside the house.

    Thanks

    I use one of these on a vu zero and find it works well.
    I have the usb/power side of it plugged into an old apple charger to free up the zero's onboard usb slots which i use for a 32gb stick and sundtek dvb-t usb tuner.
    I think it has t/fer speeds of up to 300mb/sec

    Note, I have no connection to the listing, i'm only showing it for reference.

  • This is weird, not changed anything yet but the connection has been a lot better since yesterday.

    Normally it would disconnect frequently but yesterday I had an uptime of over 8 hours until his box was rebooted. This morning it is showing 7+ hours, weird.

  • I think we found the issue. Feel really stupid....

    I think we had another box which had the same cline. The power supply died and since then it has all been a lot better.

    Less freezing and less disconnecting.

    Thank you
