Please give proposals for new addons & modifications on E2iPlayer aka IPTVPlayer

    Hi Sam,


    Phoenix is a Kodi addon and was incorporated into TSmedia but 24/7 stopped working in it. It is one of the best Kodi addons. Try it on your Kodi system but don't waste time on it if you are unfamiliar with it. I think the links are dynamic and are difficult. Genesis is another Kodi good addon but I think that is difficult to port too.


    There are two other good Kodi addons, SALTS (Stream All The Sources) and TheMuttsNuts. But these are recommendations for your Kodi. The last two are very good and might be easy to port into IPTV Player. But have a look at them on your Kodi.

    Have alook on Kodi see if it is not going to take too much of your time to port, they are both good. If it is too much work, don't waste your time on them.
    I recommend users to also install them on their Kodi devices.

    about 250 Video addons for Kodi, can test on Kodi and see what you like and import via KodiDirect into E2. But many would not work.

    Shoutcast was giving me Green Screen for a couple of years specially on working with search and favorites. But this version I tested this afternoon works well. I attach it as a zip.
    The favorites file is automatically created in /etc/engima2/ and called SHOUTcast.favorites.


    I wonder if you can create shortcuts in IPTV Player. Like a Windows shortcut. So it launches other plugins outside. But coming back will be difficult after external plugin closes.
    I think you are right that shoutcast should be separate. It is already not stable.

    When you add a new icon (section/plugin) in an update that I install, will the new icon/plugin be added and show as an icon?

    1) Filmovita plays many movies with noisy horizontal lines across screen, but same (probably) links play OK in other plugins. Some films play OK in it. The movie player choice does not solve it. Can you check a few films in Filmovita please. I think it might be a small bug.

    Please give example link to the movie which cause problem. If the same movie is playied also incorect in system player it is not possible that the same url is played ok in other plugin (other plugin is for example MediaPortal not diffrent host with diffrent link to the same material).
    So, give example url which plays not OK in IPTVPlayer and example plugin were the same url movie plays OK.


    But I doubt that this is because this is problem with gstreamer or with drivers in your E2 rather than with IPTV Player.
    You can also download full movie and try it to play with different plugin and check.




    But what exactly you want to clean? For icon there is already option for cleaning.

    You probably not know how it works.
    The IPTVPlayer has no hardcoded links to the streams/videos .etc. It is rather a simple web browser with bookmarks, each host it is something like bookmark in web browser. So, the IPTVPlayer only allow to browse pages added as host/bookmarks.


    So, it is not possible to move some link/category from one host/web page to other by IPTVPlayer.

    Yes I think it's a codec issue with filmovita. I'll try to find a movie link tonight which is also in another plugin, but one can't be sure it's the exact same link.

    Also please don't edit / censor plugin links and categories. Firstly because the size of the plugin grows and it becomes heavier and slower. Also then you become link maker and chooser and editor for each plugin and you become responsible for editing their links. Currently it is just a software and the plugin makers themselves are responsible for the links and categories they choose. It is performing very nice as it is, it's just a software pointing to them and they are responsible for editing their own links in their categories and folders.

    OK but you can still download such movie and try play it with different movie player plugin on your STB.
    Also please provide such url I will check it on my STB.

    When I try to capture an image of movie in filmovita with horizontal lines in OpenWebif the movie looks OK, but not OK on TV. Most movies in filmovita have problem but some are OK. for example in Main: Heist (2015): Openload.Co. Anyway the movies are also available on the other plugins in IPTV Player. It might be a codec problem with my box. I will download if the movie is only there but they are also in yify filmotopia etc etc. Anyway don't waste your time on this anymore. Thanks.

    Please don't change the code to edit and limit links. It will become slower and bigger with every update. The best thing after the sources and very good coding is that it is fast and small.


    Secondly, I don't believe in censorship.


    If someone wants to censor some section they can add a ! in front of the section name in both:


    iptvplayerhostsorder
    iptvplayerwebstreamorder


    in /etc/enigma2 then it will not show, as you said in post #16 on last page. Instead of one person deciding for everyone else what people can watch or not watch. This way it is free and democratic and up to each person to choose for themselves, not force others according to what he beleives, currently. I never watched those erotic sections, but it is a point of principle of freedom of choice.

    In iptvplayerhostsorder the ! will not take effect.
    The host can be disabled from IPTV Player service configuration by changing from enable to disable.


    I show and describe this in the same post were sort order.

    Yes I forgot about service configuration method to disable. The ! sends the item to the bottom of the icons for host order, that's why I didn't see it. But disables for web stream order. Interesting. Thanks.

    The "iptvplayerwebstreamorder" was added for you. It is new functionality and it manually editing it is only temporary solution.


    For "iptvplayerhostsorder" there is no need to manually change this file. Everything can be done from within the plugin.

    In version "90.00.04.00":
    - new version 10 of exteplaer3 for MIPSEL has been deployed; handle of the AAC codec has been improved (on some materials with AAC codec there was a problem with no audio it should be fixed now)


    Please test new version of exteplayer3 on MIPSEL.
    The work on exteplayer3 porting for MIPSEL goes very slowly. Unfortunately I do not have too much time.
    So, I you want to help please tests and when the problem occurs please check in gstplayer to confirm if it is realeted with exteplayer or maybe with drivers and report here with link to the material which has a problem.


    I will be very grateful.


    At now exteplayer3 supports the following codecs:
    AUDIO:
    - AAC
    - AC3
    - MP3


    VIDEO:
    - H264

    How to have access to Youtube user videos, playlist, channel videos via YouTube host:


    Create file "ytlist.txt" with following content:

    Then copy this file to your STB and set path to this file in YouTube configuration.
    Than you will have access to them by YouTube player host :)

    In version "90.00.09.01":


    New version of the exteplayer3 (v11) for MIPSEL platforms:
    - fix problem with AAC code on platform MIRACLE BOX
    - add support for decoding PCM (default for WAV container) (there is still problem with playing time after seek but this will be fixed in next version)


    Please, agree when IPTVPlayer will ask to install new version of the exteplayer3 after update.
    Please, remember that the IPTVPlayer will install exteplayer3 only if it detect ffmpeg binary in supported version.


    To check if you have installed ffmpeg please execute folowing command on your STB:
    ffmpeg --version
