your first miitake is the location, with BH its /usr/keys, and I use 1.38c with bh 2.0.7. You have to do a few other things as well ie configure mgcamd, etc but I am no expert and loosing touch. Say how far you have got and how so we have an idea and say channels you want opened.

The best option I found is to use a scart rf modulator. dont get labgear as they break after a few months. I got this one and its ace Mercury 350.111 12V 250mA RF Modulator, see amazon

Well you have a problem as the Vix image has problems with dvb t tuners, hence BH is best. You could try image Openatv 4.2 and to speed things up use a backup image. I am currently using BH2.0.7 backup with a built in epg and cool tv guide and I find it brill and easy. can you say what is so easy about the vix image?

I just tried BH2.1.1 ON SOLO 2 but cant get mgcamd to work, using same version that works in a uno, tried 1.38 and 1.38c. Is there a glitch? I see 1.35 on downloads as well but dont wnat to mess if the image is causing the problem.

what uou need is the sony play tv gadget, it gives you a dual tuner, look on ebay and works perfect with the vu+ all you need is to downloaod the driver. I have 2 of them and ace. To record you use the timer facility, the box knows, so with the sony you can record a lot of freeview channels, and with the 2 sat tuners you can record a lot more, it goes by the transponders so say bbc1 is on same transponder for channel 4 you could record both at same time and if itv3 was on same you could record as well, the options are endless.

you need to give a lot more inofrmation, like type of motor ie make and model, name of receiver, are you using usals, size of dish, channels or sats you want to receive, and location.

openatv no longer provide softcams

I want to do a complete clean install on my gigablue 800hd se but when I did a factory reset I discovered there was still items like , picons , sat settings, epg settings, softcams etc. So a bit stumped.

Help, what do I need to do to make box as it was delivered ie virgin state.

ok I got it sorted and to help others here is what happened. I use a netgear switch in the room where the uno is and last night I tried apple tv and it would not connect. Today I unplugged all the lan cables, unplugged power cable from switch, rebooted router, then under network settings for uno checked network and eventually got it all connected. Apple tv came back and the uno. Also ecms are back to normal but how the fault occurred I will never know. If I did not have the apple tv I would have done a re-flash. I am so pleased it all works as I am reluctant to do an upgrade.

ok found that DCC.ini and changed pwd as well. one more try with DCC then a break. tried DCC get telenet and FTP but no further.

ok a littel update, I used telnet to change the PWD and I then tried filezilla to connect, it coonects ok but then I get
"Response: 150 Here comes the directory listing.
Error: Connection timed out
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing"

I think I have to reflash or I might move box right next to PC tommorro. I am getting weird ecm times on a setanta/bt sport card usually 0.87ms or less now it jumps to 1.300ms or higher!! this is oscam with ccam213. The other thing I have a share to the octagon as well and that is ok!! I must have pressed a wrong button.

thanks both, I have a little knowledge and that can be a dangerous thing, Master I have already done as you suggested. With DCC I get Telnet connected, FTP connected but before it always came up Enigma 2 connected and it does not now. With the uno I never bothered with a password. What I want to do really is run oscam and put card in the uno. I have another enigma 2 box, an ocatgon and that connects instantly as perusaul. I have powered uno off at rear, done a hard reset as well. You can check network network in uno as well and I get all green ticls = all OK.

I am trying to avoid re-flashing. hope this helps. I will dig out notes from last september and if I have added a password I will be very annoyed with myself.

AIA have the vu+ uno with BH2.0.7 and have used without fail since last september. I have a few cams loaded and mgcamd but got some gllitching today so wanted to edit cccam cfg. However when I try to connect with DCC I cant and same with filezilla. I have done all the checks and network is ok and I can even connect to my db500s with ccam.

Can I assume my image has gone wonky or is there a workaround?
