I hope you used a small Flash Memory Stick, like less than 4 Gb... and formatted properly, as big ones will probably not work with a VU+ Zero.

Put in flash mode the box and flash again only the ssl below,

Try to install the openpli 8.xStar, which I know works perfectly, on my VU+ Zeros (I have few HD boxes, also the VU+ Solo SE is ok with the corresponding image),
http://openpli8xstar.japhar.net/OpenPLi8xstar/openpli-8xstar-vuzero_usb.zip
With this one, I flash it with the USB Memory Stick, then once done, I remove the USB Memory Stick, and boot, first time it will not load all drivers, so I turn it off (physically removing PSU) then I turn it on and it loads properly the drivers, and image works fine.
Anyway, just to check, once you have flashed an image and the box boots, try to login with SSH/Telnet to the box and send the "lsmod" command to see if it loaded properly the drivers (Post screenshot of console answer here).

With open images, you have to flash the box then turn on... and turn off.
Then reboot, and it should work the second time.
If you want to check this behavior, when you boot first the "lsmod" command should return you a very short list as it doesn't load the drivers, but the second boot wil load all drivers properly.
TS
login into the box and check if enigma2 loads or not, if it doesn't then it means something went wrong,
Send these two commands with telnet/putty and put here the returns.
1) "ps" (example below on my DM7020HD Original)
2) "lsmod" (example below on my DM7020HD Original)
You can copy the text or just do a screenshot of the console box.
Here I have no problem on my DM7020HD original boxes to use our OpenPLi 8.xStar and 9.xStar.
TS
Take this image,
http://openpli9xstar.japhar.net/OpenPLi9xstar/openpli-enigma2-9xstar-dm7020hd.nfi
Then get the patch files,
http://openpli9xstar.japhar.net/OpenPLi9xstar/Patch_Original-Japhar_DM7020HDv1.rar
1) Flash OpenPLi 9.xStar image (without rebooting)
2) Flash the ssl on the patch files for the original box
3) Reboot box
4) FTP to the box in /lib/modules/3.2-dm7020hd/extra/
5) replace the biggest file, the bcm7405.ko by the one from the patch archive for original (rename it naturally to bcm7405.ko).
Then all should work smoothly, rebooting the box,
TS
Hello, where can I find OpenPli 9.1 image configuration settings such as the HDR10, DOLBY VISION option,
Check the feeds, if this is on the official image, then feeds would have been compiled for it. I talk naturally about the OpenPLi 9.xStar, as the 9.1 has no feeds.

Display MoreCodeI just turned on the receiver and it's stuck on the Openatv logo, it's not starting up or receiving any images, I know the installation procedure well but it's not responding to the installation at all. Is there any original image or recovery image I can try?Povratne informacije

PostRE: How To Flash A VU+ ZERO Linux Enigma2 Satellite ReceiverHow many times does the front LED flash when you turn it on?
If less than four try installing this:
(Code, 2 lines)
Then try to install this image (original Vu+)
(Code, 1 line)
and if everything went well, you can install any image you like![]()
Try to change power supply, perhaps yours is not giving enough Amp, as becoming old,...

Thank you toysoft.
It's hard for me to understand English, the translator doesn't convey the meaning. I can't flash it, the box doesn't boot. I install openpli-enigma2-9xstar-dm7020hd.nfi. I turn it off, go to boot and flash secondstage-dm7020hd-89_original.nfi. The box loads halfway and stops.
Maybe there is a firmware for the original box?
You need to first flash the openpli 9.xStar or 8.xStar image, then flash the ssl provided on the patch file. Then only reboot.
When the box will have booted with an FTP tool you need to replace the bcm7405.ko file by the one provided on the patch file, to have it working as original.

The media player compiled in the image has an option to add subtitles to a downloaded movie?
Thanks
I really dont know, it's openpli official compiled, so if the official does, then it will
TS
The first boot is generally freezing, you must turn off and on the box and it will boot fine, perhaps this is the problem you got,
TS
Works for me, with Chrome,
TS
You can install BUT you need to flash just after the image, the original SSL that is included, and then after replace the bcm7405 file in the driver folder, named extra (in /lib/modules/...),
To recover your box from a NO CA ERROR message, just use DreamUp and flash the original SSL or any original image or do as explained above.
TS
Hi Toysoft...
I am looking for a media player compatible with this image that allows me to add subtitles to downloaded movies.
Any suggestions? Thanks
I cannot help, as I am not using, but anything that is working with openpli would be ok, as our version is a compile of the official git image.
TS
Okay thanks. The tuner isn't even detected.
I was hoping to be able to get debug logs for a reported ABM error for UK Terrestrial, so that workaround wouldn't be useful even if it worked.
Yes, if it's not detected as a normal DVB-S/S2 tuner, then yes it would mean that any old tuner (DM800HDpvr) would not be and so useless for that hardware, as you correctly deducted (and naturally the T and C would not work, if the S/S2 is not).
TS
The "clone Tripple Tuner" is in fact a single tuner, that switches from Cable to Sat to Terrestrial. It's a standard S Tuner. You could try to trick it with the Transponder/satellite xml file, to include the Terrestrial and Cable frequencies, but it will only do DVB-T (and not T2 which is in use in many countries and often they use H265 which is supported by the DM900).
So You can try that way, but there is no "plugin" ready to use to install (ipk) to manage the 3 inputs to the tuner.
TS
Yes, a lot of research, but there is no topic for the plugin designer.
OpenPLi DM8000HD is same as the official one, so just tell you would like the original they publish fixed on their support forum for their official DM8000HD image,
OpenPLi - Open Source Set-Top Box Software
TS
Hi
Is it possible to fix the openmultiboot plugin with this image-nfi?
DM8000HDpvr
You need to ask the authors of the plugin,
TS
There is around a package to flash it as from factory initialization of the Flash Memory... I think you should go that way.
TS
I replaced the files "Ci.pyc, CIHelper.pic and CList.pyc" in Image 5.5.1.003 downloaded from OpenATV 7.5.1 and managed to run the CAM ECP CI+ module.
Currently, Hdmi CEC and the Cam module are working so I can test :)
Can you post the old files, and post the new files here, so people can get them directly, just downloading here the attachment,
