    Steps to Flash a box are as follows;
    1. Get the Proper Image for your box, has to be clone version and have the drivers for your tuner and processor.
    2. Get the SSL nfi file compatiable with your box. 82 84 84a or 84b
    3. If you have a USB stick test the image first on that. (see my post on this)
    4. You can put the box in HTTP mode by powering on the box while holding the front power button or the back mini flash button.
    5. Open the IP shown on the OLED via a net connected PC browser and load the Image first.
    6. Press the back button on the browser and load the SSL from 2. above
    7. reboot the box.

    Should be good to go.

    How to use C and T Tuners

    Cable Tunner Scanning setup config

    1.The screen will only show up as a single S Tuner at the moment, but it does not stop you using each tuner format though S,C ot T.

    2. You can also scan on any image you don't need anything special tested on Sunray & Nemesis images.

    3. Before you start to scan for C channels you'll need to find out the Channel Frequencies and Symbol rate for your Country/Area.

    Once you have that you can start to set up the tuner configuration.

    On your remote Menu-Setup-Service Searching-Tuner Config

    1. Setup the tuner as per the screen shot.

    On the pic you'll see it says C at the Satellite position that's because i did my own edit on the satellite.xml with my area details but as we are manually scanning just select any Satellite position it does not matter.

    2. Now exit the tuner config and select the manual scan option and set up as per the pic.

    Now repeat for all your other frequencies.

    Ive not tried a automatic scan but i guess you could if you prepare the satellite.xml with all your frequency details to scan with.

    The main thing you have to remember here is the frequencies you enter needs to have a 01 in front of it. So if a frequency for your area is 643.000 you loose the 000 from the end and put a 01 in front of the 643 so you end up with 01634 in the frequency entry. For the symbol rate you need in most cases a zero in front so 6667 will be entered as 06667.

    Once thats setup up with those parameters press OK to scan

    Oh ok, sorry about the trouble you are having, for all what is worth, try a DM800HD image on the box, Also do you know howto do a USB boot? I always try the image on a usb stick before I flash the box, that way chances of bricking with a bad image is very low.

    One other thing is to try an 800se image without the SSL loader like PLI that also can be a problem as most images with SSL84 is for sim2.10. So find a definite Sim2.01 and try.

    Is the clone a dreambox or a sunray, not clear when you say "DVB 800se" the message is given when an incompatiable image flash is attempted. Are you using the HTTP flash method or a tool like DCC?

    Try a another dm 800se clone inage from the firmaware section.

    Good luck.

    Hi All,
    I received a replacement motherboard from the vendor for my dead box and powered it on with my SIM (2.10) now it is saying (in red) 2nd Failed?. It shows a picture of a processor with an x through it beside a usb stick then says “boot no ca found”

    Dreamup connects but it hangs with the message “upload completed waiting for acknowledge” after sending the flash loader;

    Optiflasher by yassinov managed to send flashloader and put box in http flash mode with fixed IP (192.168.1.77) and I managed to upload image and SSL via the browser, reboot button does not work but manual reboot takes me back to the 2nd failed, no ca state. Attached a info pahe in http mode.ed0c644d0b7c98e9ef9af676.jpg

    NCF (by yassinov) connects and makes the box boot into the image (the one I loaded) but a reboot brings back the 2nd failed no ca error.

    Really stumped with this, what could be the problem??

    In case you have not flashed the box yet, I found that most clone images do not work very well with the sunray4 single tuner (Alps) as the bcm7405 module for dms does not pick the tuner, you need a patched version.

    To add your sat go to this site and select and save the satellites.xml file. Edit it if you want some transponders off, which will spped up scanning, and then copy the file to /etc/tuxbox directory on your box with ftp or your dm control app. Select the bird on the tuner config and you should be good to go.

    Before you flash backup the /lib/modules directory as that will be needed for future flash updates. Also always try the firmware on a USB boot before flashing the box, then dump that firmware with dflash and write the dump to the box flash.

    Hi I am having trouble booting after creating the USB drive (dm800se SR4 sunray version) got latest firmware from w-w-w.freedmx.net. have even added the freedmx drivers in the /lib/modules/2.6.18-7.4-dm800se/ & extra directories. What happens is the box gets tp /usb/vmlinux.gz and hangs, OLED displays dhcp... and /usb/vmlinux.gz below. what could be wrong?

    iI also noticed that wwhen I nfidump the image to the /dev/sda2 the proc, usr, src, directories are empty. Is that normal?

    Well I am glad that you got the sharing to work, 'Well Done' try and switch emm of on the client boxes, that should fix the scramble issue on channel change. Also, it might be worth to put your subbed card info on the client smartcard.conf, that might help if the subbed box is in standby. To do this you have to extract the cw from the card. I myself am struggling on doing that with a acs06 card.

    Newcamd screen is to set a newcam server in your local network to share any cards in the slots of the box. the N-line should show on the cccam.cfg screen, is your line formatted properly? like below;

    N: server.com 12000 user password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

    Most of the time reboot is caused by a bad sat/ferq setting in tp prog and/or a poor net connection with the c/n line host server. The latest firmware from yojiatech.com 11/17 version is very stable on my S10 and it is ok for S11 as well. make a backup of your FW and then update with the above and try.

    Ali you are correct, it is on the wydvb site, but it is old and appearently will not work on the newer boxes. I read in another frum that this wersion does not ID the new tuner, hence I have not tried. Have you tested it? What date comes up on the info screen? is the mac, chipid etc same as when you had the other firmware? Let us know.

    This is a very old firmware, probably has your sat list (userdb 2011-11-04), but the latest defaultdb and userdb is dated 2011-11-17 in the newest firmware. here is the info for your file.
