25th November 2015 build, and bang up to date on services and bouquets!
A month to the day since TC last released the updated 15.1b version. What's changed in this version? Two main things, plus shedloads of minor stuff...
We got rumblings that if you ran AutoBouquets on most "ITV" based channels, then ABs would bomb out with a "No data found" message after a 2 minute time-out.
In this situation, Humforce alerted us to the fact that we weren't handing the R/C back to you, requiring a power cycle coz the R/C was dead, and you had no way of knowing that you just needed to press RED then MENU buttons to unlock it, doh... So this little bug is now corrected.
Moreover, LraiZer has kindly found the source of this ITV glitch (which is 100% down to Sly and/or ITV, for not adhering to ISO DVB standards). He has helped TC to compile a new version of his brilliant autobouquetsreader binary, which sails past the ITV test!
There is a Fast Mode on your DM500S box where it completes in under 30 seconds! This does result in a change of channel though.
SML first on UK Cable AND Sat please, before you start playing, remember! Then ABs, and THEN play in Bouquet Editor, yes?
Have fun- TC

Easiest way is to use tags, but that does not work very well. There was a script by a user called varianjv to automatically move recordings based on names. However, it fails if you use a combination of file name compositions.
For regulatr recordings, you are better off schedling the recordings in a folder.
On most images, there are three file name compositions for recordinsg. On Vix, there are four. You can name them by event name. This makes subsequent manipulation by FTP a lot easier. Obviously no use for existing recordings.

Yes it is fine. (As mentioned in post 5, any channel on the same transponder will work)
You can check what scannned channels are on a transponder by the following: Open Channel list > (green) Satellites > Current Transponder

cheers abu thats what i have done is using channel 100 ok as its a vm channels anyway?
There is a question mark at the end of your sentence. What are you asking? -
You can set a timer to zap to channel. that will achieve same thing.

Just delete the bouquets ABM made and stop it from running automatically.
Menu > Setup > Service Searching > AutoBouquetsMaker

When the plugin was made, the HD channels were working on E2 receivers. The custom swap file was intended primarily to swap SD channels for their HD versions. If you lok at the file yu will see what swaps will take place. eg 141 (BBC 1 HD) for 101 (BBC 1 SD). If yo will be manipulating order of chanenls, best to leave it as disabled.
The sort 1 and 2 files were preset to using a layout like the radio times if I remember correctly. They have not been touched for a long time. Pretty sure they were based on the HD numbering system and also before the two reshuffles we have had since.
Each bouquet taht you can alter has a number. If you look at the the sort files, you will see the rest of the bouquet numbers and order they are in. The sort 3 is currently set to be similar to Rat's bouquets. The International bouquet has a few chanenls at the top with rest in alphabetical order. Customise it as you like.
You are using two plugins. In your screen shot, one set of bouquets is made by AutoBouquets 28.2 ( AB 28.2), the other is made by AutoBouquetsMaker (ABM). ABM has more options and does more providers.

Is auto updates updating the bouquets or the plugin aw ?
What do you mean by this? The plugin has a feature to run automatically and update bouquets.
Every time I check after the update have finished .. It added a whole new set of bouquet folders , seems like duplicates of the original. ... Why is this happening ?AB 28.2 only updates the bouquets it makes. It does not touch any other bouquets. Are you sure youa re not mixing up with another set of bouquets? I have run three automated updates to check your reporrted issue. Ther were no duplicates if teh bouquets AB 28.2 makes
I still can't figure out the custom sort files
Can someone give an explain atom of what these do and how the are used by the plugin ?
You should have asked your question in the existing thread of yours.These tell the plugin in what order to make the contents of the bouquets it makes. You should only concern yourself with sort 3. Read the file with a linux compatible editor like notepad++ and it should make sense. They are just channel numbers prefixed with the bouquet number.
For example, if in the entertainment bouquet you wanted
sky sports 1
bbc news hd
colorsyour sort file would be like this
1=402
1=570
1=821
Auto bouquet.csv ... Where does this come into the picture ?
It is for reference purposes and produced at end of process. Channel numbers and for other values you can use for hacks. Best not to delve into that at this stage. You do not need to concern yourself with this file; The plugin will keep recreating it after each run. -
Do you have a signal wire from lnb connected to tuner B?

The purpose of the custom sort 3 file is so that the boqueuets are made as per your wishes You must select that as your sorting option. You will still get the large bouquet. The readme file has instructions. Perhaps you can try it prior to altering it,
custom swap swaps channels. Initially it was intended to swap sd channels for hd ones.

I tried to help by asking questions. Answers would have paved a way forward.

All services are stored in lamedb file. Bouquets will not be made automatically.
When you open the list of channel, there is a satellites button,. You will see teh satellites and also terrestrial.
If you are in RoI/UK, AutoBouquetsMaker will make the bouquets for you too.

Okay, guys- thanks to quality feedback, not to mention LraiZer's eagle eyes, the C15.1b test image dated 14 Oct 2015 has now served it's purpose, and TC have now baked a re-release of this image, hot off the press today.
Two builds, actually, so it's all bang up to date as of this morning's services line ups!
Main fix is the "Channel 5" issue in the ROI stream. Hands up- this was our fault (or rather, AL's, for slapdash testing, doh...)
For you Irish users over here and on your local UK SML, we've also added "TV3" and "TV3+1" to the bottom end of the "Regional" bouquet, correctly ordered.
Also included in the attachment are our historical readme HELP files, and Abu's new "How to reflash" from existing Commando or E1 image in glorious illustrated PDF format, for you noobs! Many thanks for your work, Abu!
Whichever DM500 SD box you have (Cable or Sat) PLEASE make your first port of call to the Set My Location menu under the BLUE button menus! For DM500S:
BLUE > BLUE > GREEN > RED
and for DM500C:
BLUE > BLUE > RED(we think..)

I am not aware of anyone specifically stating that Autobouquets Cable worked on a triple tuner. I might borrow a DM800se and try it though.

Have fun with this, our latest image since May. It says test, but it's really release quality, we reckon. And all bang up to date on 28.2E services as of today!Enjoy!

How did you make your channel lists?
Can you upload the picons?
Sure you only have one picon folder in all locations?
Rat's picons are geared for 28.2 channels .
