Everything is configured. So I don't understand why I have cache for the last 4 hours for the satellite channels but none for the iptv ones, this part is loaded by e2m3u2.
I can make a separate setting for importing events in depth "back" ..... But will this help in your case?
No, I think these events are not in the last epg xml file. But we can test, because it's certain that not all providers have the same operating mode....
I did this on purpose for a number of reasons:
1) Not all images have the "maintain old epg data for" setting
2) The absolute uselessness of "maintain old epg data for" ... Time has already passed and it will not be possible to see. The epg.dat file is increased and nothing more
In fact with epg like pluto tv, samsung tv+, plex.. the extract (with their api) to generate xml files will take in account only from the next epg, not the current. By this way the xml doesn't contain the current epg, so we have empty epg until next epg. If we keep history, the current epg will be shown, because it is in the epg.dat even if missing in the last exctract xml file.
These empty epg are often displayed with the configuration with a short interval like mine (2 hours). Even I think I will increase the interval, but the problem will still be the same, the xml doesn't contains the current epg... ![]()

As you can see in the log, there is no error from e2m3u2 plugin. So the problem is not here but in the content of your xml and/or m3u, example channels in the m3u have no corresponding tvg-id in the epg xml.
pepsik , ok will check to deliver a french po.
I had an idea of implementation. When the epgimport do its job, it doesn't take un account the "maintain old epg data for" parameter, in minutes (setup/epg/setup).
So sometimes we have none epg on channels treated by e2m3u8 until next epg. I think this one shouldn't be empty if this parameter was taken in account. What do you think about this?
Thanks
Judging by your playlists, you are from France or French-speaking? ... If you want you can translate the * .po file into French, and I will add it to the plugin
ok, the reference po is uk one ? I found ru msgstr in. so where can I find the original file?
thanks
Has perfection been achieved or are there more wishes?
Yes everything is perfect and stable!! Will just see if I still have random crashes when the update is running. But we know this is not a problem from e2m3u2 plugin.
Really great job, with the increasing amount of avod providers, your plugin is a central one for my configuration! If I think about new implementations, I'll speak about with you.
Will offer you a beer ;-)
Ok ....
will be fixed in the evening... FIXED ....
Will be updated in the evening .... Now I'm just leaving until the eveningE2m3u2bouquet Plugin - RE-download, --force-reinstall, ENJOY!
Thanks, Just see your modded post. So update done, now have to wait 2 hours for the next schedule bouquet update. and verify!:rasta2bigsmoke0gf1:
EDIT:
Confirm that fix is OK! the schedule scan process is fully ok !

Great job pepsik ! thanks
Display MoreIncomprehensible situation. The piece of code responsible for the auto-update time is one for "fixed time" and for "interval". It simply "on exit" returns a timer with a specified time. And if there is an error, then it is clearly not related to the timer.
1) What is the update interval set in the settings?
2) Edit /Plugins/Extension/E2m3u2bouquet/config.py setting debuglevel to DEBUG instead of INFO. RestartGUI.
And then send me a log in private messages so as not to "litter" the forum thread
p.s. I will now turn on updates every two hours for the test. And in the evening I will see the result in the logs... SATBox will not be available to me until the evening. So in the evening, everything will "clear up".... At the same time, I will compare the result with your logs

My config:
Restart gui, process was ok, sent you the log in pm and I will send you at the next autostart update.
pepsik, it seems there is a problem with the execution by interval. Manually everything was ok as said before. But automatic schedule does nothing. I found only in the log the following for the 22h41 planned execution. And in the status, I have "Bouquet last update - 06/01/22 20:40:29". This one was a run after a boot to test the execution.
I'm not lucky !
Yes + if you have made any changes in the "Configuration" menu of plugin and saved them - the next wakeup time will be changed
Yes I saw this. I tested the start at boot to yes, everything is working fine without box hang. Your plugin is near to the perfection !!! Thanks
p.s.
Check how the updated version (1.0.55) works with "interval" type of bouquets update - E2m3u2bouquet Plugin
So If I understand, at boot if the autorun is set to no, the next wakeup time is set to date/time of boot + Interval, the last update is not take in account. This do the job !
So it is so .... But you must understand that in order to fix something I must be able to repeat it. If I try to repeat the situation described by the user 1-5-10-15 times and I get NO errors, what can I fix?
p.s.
Check how the updated version (1.0.55) works with "interval" type of bouquets update - E2m3u2bouquet Plugin
Yes I understand. I will be more careful with a next mistake.
For the 1.0.55, I will test it asap, thanks for this new improvement! You're a nice man and dev!!
I tried 10 times in a row. The result is always the same.
Yes, I see. Eveything is ok for you ! So Great Plugin ![]()
those, the same python plugin code "processes" the same XMLTV, and error occurs always, but not at each run ....
At the same time, in the log of Enigma2 work - there is NOT a single line with a crash of the plugin code ... But do you think the plugin is to blame? And I have to find plugin errors that are not in the log?
I am slowly starting to become a psychiatrist. And what should I look for if your XMLTVs are ALWAYS processed without errors at each run on my SATbox?
No no, I never said that the crash cause was e2m3u2 plugin. My initial message was "What do you think about". I think the problem comes from the image itself + my hardware. I have another receiver, an Octagon sf8008, next month I will migrate on it and I'm sure the problem will disappear.. I hope in fact!
Never got this error on OpenATV 7.0, I use it myself ....
Perhaps this is due to the values of the node programme attributes in the XMLTV used. More precisely, perhaps some of the characters of these values are not unescaped.... I need a sample of the playlist you are using and XMLTV for tests. So that I can catch such a bug on my own
And, if I'm right about XMLTV, then there are no questions about the kernel code or the plugin))) And I have to write a "crutch" to fix this problem in XMLTV
This error occurs always during "Samsung TV Plus all channels" process but not at each run, so you'll have difficulties to reproduct it I think.
OK so rerun the process, same problem but not while flush epg for the same channel. Unable to have a full processing e2m3u2 process ok. The only solution is to erase epg.dat and execute epgimport + e2m3u2.
edit: Finally no, after 3 executions, the process is OK without erase epg.dat
Never got this error on OpenATV 7.0, I use it myself
Perhaps I might say something stupid, but is this could be a hardware limit or a memory leak because of too many flush not yet saved in the epg.dat if the epg.dat is updated only at the end of the full e2m3u2 process. I don't know.
Welcome to Pure2 C code

No no I never used PureE2. It's OATV 7.0
