Apart from what has already been suggested you should start reading as everything has already been asked and answered a 100 times over..
I would start in the vu+ backup section to see which are the popular images,plugins ,channel settings ,etc..

On the UNO I use AVALON , the flash is the size of partition/ stick you use, in my case 4gbs is more than enough..
