From that post I just read (above) it looks like an oscam config issue master G, from my OSCam settings above can you see any conflicting data? Also, would it speed things up or help things run more smoothly if I put my boxkey in cccam.cfg or is this unnecessary with the latest version of OSCam reading my card?

    Thanks

Yeah, I had that feeling myself master G... Is the ecmwhitelist really nesessary or is it just more scare mongering? If Sly are constantly changing around things (Which we know they are), this ecmwhitelist would always be slightly behind the correct ecm's & surely thats going to cause regular problems..

Im going to hash it out now and try run it for a while without to see if problems remain..

    thanks

I am getting these error on my OSCam webif.

Hi guys, just wondering if somebody knows of a Hadu like plugin for WMC on 64Bit Win7? I tried DVBDream & DVBLink setup in this tutorial below:

    http://linuxsat-support.com/li…haring-pc-dvb-s-card.html

...but as usual, I got a few dozen errors (I'm pretty sure related to 64Bit incompatability)

Unfortunately, downgrading to 32Bit OS is not an option as I use 16GB Ram..
Surely there is another Virtual Tuner Setup that will work or even better, direct plugin for WMC..

    Thanks Guys

My smargo was set to 3.69mhz, I set it to 6mhz in windows with smartreader.exe, but when I connected it to the server, I got this in OSCam..
2012/05/15 14:00:53 r Maximum frequency for this card is formally 5 Mhz, clocking it to 4.80 Mhz..

I have White Sly (Ireland) Card. Please advise. Should i plug it back into windows and set it to 4.8mhz or is this warning just a conflict with my oscam settings (Posetd Above)

    Thanks Guys

Ill deffo get one then M8, having a few problems and anything that helps would be welcomed.. I’m gona try that windows utility now, Have you any idea what is the optimum frequency to set for Sly UK

Sorry guys was away for a bit..

    Quote

are you using a powered hub for the smargo or is it plugged directly into the server? If not then purchase one as this will reduce your ecm times

Its plugged directly into the Server Steve, I never even heard of a powered USB hub until now... Looking them up on ebay now.. Would that make a dramatic improvement to my ecm times?

    Quote

What frequency did you set on the smargo using the windows smargo utility ?

Thanks master G, I’m not sure what Frequency its at now or how to check it but I followed the guides when setting it up.. What is the right frequency for Sly UK White card?

& Would I change the Frequency in OSCam, cccam.config or in the driver itself?

I have the "SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/sci0 6800000" hashed out in cccam file. & I have no reference to the frequency in any of my OSCam Files (Listed above).

Sorry, just read your comment fully

    Quote

What frequency did you set on the smargo using the >>>>>>windows<<<<< smargo utility ?

Im not sure about this M8, I will redo It now when I know what freq. it should be for Sly UK White card.. (Also, Can this be done through linux or will I have to remove the Card)

    Thanks again Guys

Thanks Guys. My Setup is as below.

Ubuntu Server Directly wired to router with CCCam 2.13/OSCam 1.00 (5369)
I have CCcam connected to OSCam with N:Line in Cccam
DM500S Directly wired to same router with CCcam 2.13 (ECM 140ms)
    DM500S Wireless connection to router.

Here is a screenshot og My OSCam webif
    linuxsat-support.com/cms/attachment/7972/

I will post more info on request.. thanks for any help..

Hi guys, I hope this is in the right section.. I have given out a few clines on this site and been told that my ecm times were high (around 500ms) which is not great considering I am on fiber internet. I can ping Mainland Europe at about 30ms, UK at about (Strangly enough) 50ms and local sites (Ireland) at 10ms. Is there any tests I can run locally to try and pinpoint my problem. Any help would be appreciated.

    thanks

Can confirm M8, everything is working 100%, my clines are back working too. You are a genius masterG..

Now that all my OSCam files are clean and fresh, is there any redundant code that I can remove from my cccam.cfg? i.e. unneeded settings from my DM500? I know I can remove the N-line for starters. I now want to get my system secured so I can start sharing..

    Thanks

masterG M8, you are a genius.. I now have nice clean config files and my webif is running.

Thanks masterG, I followed all the guides u poster above. Problem now is that I can’t get into CCCam webif.

Also when I looked at the link:

Thanks M8, your help is appreciated

Hello, I recently received my Smargo Card Reader. I originally used my DM500 as my card reader for my server. Yesterday I followed Tutorial to setup smargo:
    http://linuxsat-support.com/li…l-smargo-smartreader.html

As of today I am in a right mess because I dont know what lines to remove from my config files and what lines to put in. I urgently need some help with this to get my server back up and running. From the Tutorial above, I got through it, my smargo is version 1.3 and is being recognised by the system when I run lsusb:

    Quote

Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0403:6001 Future Technology Devices International, Ltd FT232 USB-Serial (UART) IC

My problem is that I have a load of redundant garbage in my cccam.cfg and also in my Oscam files from using my DM500S as my card reader
Can someone please tell me how to do a clean setup so I can get my system back online asap.

Also, a lot of the Smargo & Ubuntu tutorials dont mention CCcam, is cccam not needed with Smargo/Ubuntu Setup? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Also I am using White SlyUK card..

    Thanks guys

Great image Ten, i flashed it over the "Gemini 4.70 Oscam & CCcam 2.13 UK Ready Backup" but the Irish variations are gone, is there any way I can get them back on?

I backed up the "Gemini 4.70 Oscam & CCcam 2.13 UK Ready Backup" image, can I extract it from that?

And Finally, Is there any waw to make the Audio Default onto plain English? On bothe these images, the movie channels always default to the Audio tracks for the blind (I think)

    Cheers M8

No problem, I have 2 DM500-s. 1 in Bedroom & 1 not in use yet. I want to give 1 to my daughter (Already a satellite feed in her room). I want to restrict what channels she can watch (13 years old). I know there is a parental lock on the DM500 but I would rather block it at source rather than give her something to spend a few weeks googling.. Cheers M8..

Tried removing that "allow-hotplug eth0 line" & restarted the networking but same problem.

Ha, I feel like crying.... The only thing that is keeping me at this is the fact that I know the networking was working on this fresh install of debian. It just stopped working after the Automated Oscam/CCcam install Script. So at least I know its not a hardware problem.. Just an idea Ten, but could I do a fresh install and back up the /etc/network/interfaces, then run the script and recover the backed up /etc/network/interfaces file? Im not sure if that would help but at lease I know the networt was working with the orig settings.

One last question, the tutorial said to put in dyndns.org for host name when I was installing Debian, Do I have to have a dyndns account for this to work? I know Im backtracking all over the place but I am just convinced that I missed something... Thanks again M8
