    OK, I have implemented everything from the links given to me:
    http://linuxsat-support.com/li…am-cccam-card-update.html

    I just have two last question’s (LoL),
    1.. Is there any way to log all entitlements activity so I can review it and learn from it? I have read somewhere over the last few weeks of people monitoring emm's received etc.

    2..

    Make the fline for your Dreambox in server with no restrictions and enter the cline in your dreambox also without restrictions and the update should come. I have used this method myself in the past.
    e.g in server
    F: dm800 pass
    in dreambox
    C: local_ip 12000 dm800 pass

    If I have 3 or 4 Trusted Box’s i.e. My two and the 2 in parents house, can I have no restrictions on the relevant F:Lines & C:Lines for those 4 box’s to increase my chances of getting update’s?

    Thanks guys.

    most problems with updates are due to impatience!

    I am not being impatient though, I have 3 weeks left & I just want to make sure everything is set up ok so I dont have to worry about pulling my card...

    2 0 1 { 0:0:2 } - if you set your flines with this, then your card could get emm updates from your peers

    I only set up my trusted internal box's with this F:Line format, will this still mean I can get emm updates from peers?

    so long as you are allowing emms in your CCcam.cfg

    How do I do this or what is the line in cccam.cfg?
    I have the line below hashed out

    Code
    #EXTRA EMM LEVEL : yes

    Should I un-hash this or is it a different line I need to add?

    Cheers M8

    OK, just to update, I got settings off a m8 and now my configs look like this!

    oscam.config

    oscam.server

    oscam.user

    Code
    [account]
    user = myusername
    pwd = mypassword
    monlevel = 0
    uniq = 0
    group = 1
    au = $lyuk
    caid = 0963
    ident = 0963:000000
    keepalive = 1

    cccam.cfg

    Code
    N: 127.0.0.1 myportnumber myusername mypassword 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 256

    F: MyDreambox mypassword 2 0 1 { 0:0:2 }

    Can anyone see any problems or should this setup update my entitlements with $ly?

    Thanks

    This issue is about to raise its ugly head again for me. I was previously (3-4 months ago) using my DM500 as a server & I had it updating my entitlements. I switched my Setup to a Ubuntu server a few months back. In June i was running out of time to update my entitlements on my server so I pulled the card & updated it in my $ky Box overnight. I obviously don’t want to do this again as it might take a lot longer this time not to mention server down time for my peers.

    My questions before I start would be what kind of configuration for updating Entitlements would best suit my setup?

    OScam + MGCamd
    or
    OScam + DVAPI
    or
    OScam alone?

    If anyone can help, I will post my configs..

    M8, I’m not too sure about newcamd setup, but make sure you have port number 21111 opened in your router.

    To do this, go to your router configuration page, usually http://192.168.1.1 in browser.
    Then look for a section called Applications & Gaming (or similar)
    Then in the section caller Port Range forwarding (or Similar)
    Forward your server listening port to your server IP Address & save settings.

    For specific information & Pics for your router, go to the portforwarding.com website

    Good Luck

    i tryed cccam restar/reboot/stop/start but still not working on port 16001 but oscam on port 15000 (change port) are working perfekt :/
    i have no ider whats wrong

    Are you certain cccam is running? How did you stop/start cccam and what messages did you get? Also, why are you so intent on using port 16001, Most of the Auto installs will advise you to change all default port numbers as soon as your set up. Try 16987 or anything else in the User Port Range..

    System Port Range
    0-1023
    User Port Range
    1024-49151
    Dynamic and/or Private Port Range
    49152–65535

    So just Change this line in your cccam.cfg:
    WEBINFO LISTEN PORT : 16987

    & then in your browser:
    192.168.X.X:16987

    My AVG didn’t pick it & it’s usually over sensitive. I also tried to open it with Autocad, now I have to do the mother of all scans with over 12TB of connected equipment.. If this turns up something, I have to agree with lfc4ever, get him out of here!

    Yeah, I went down that road m8 and it is not worth it, the box is a slippery little bugger. Not very user friendly at all. But from memory, I think you have to add the channel lists to your openbox, then dump all to usb key in .abs format, and then edit that .abs file with ur software but I promise you I done all that, bought the t-shirt & it aint worth it! But as said above do a full backup dump of your current setup, then by all means do what you like with the box & revert back if you are not satisfied..

    Firstly backup all your settings on your openbox in case you want to revert back to your current setup..

    Then follow these steps to upgrade Channel Lists & Fav Lists:

    1.. Unzip TP_PROG.zip and put the TP_PROG file within, on a usb key.
    2.. Then on your openbox, go to menu /Edit Channel/Delete All.
    3.. Now plug usb key into openbox and go to Tools/upgrade by USB
    4.. ChangeUpgrade mode to "Misc Files" & go down to "Select & Upgrade"
    5.. Select TP_PROG with the green button then select upgrade with the yellow button.
    6.. After all that, Exit out, & Power off & on again.

    Thats it, the channels & Favs are there
    I Did these Steps on an S9, but Im sure you will figure out differences (if any) with the S11

    NOTE:, you will have to manually rename, Fav1, Fav2, Fav3 to Entertainment, Lifestyle, Movies etc (There is no way around this)

    I have to add, nice list, thanks for uploading it ka5hm1r & credit to the creator

    Good Luck m8

    It only works with smargo etc because the ecm times they give you compared to an omnikey are rubbish using a powered usb will help lower this but to be honest you could just buy an omnikey or two and eliminate the need of using any usb hub at all

    I agree 100%.

    With my smargo, I noticed huge improvements of up to 40% off ecm's but the omnikey already operates that fast. So why bother with a USB Hub at all, especially when they make addressing a little trickier. I bought 2x Second hand omnikeys off ebay for 10 each and I couldn’t be happier with them..

    No problem m8, I hope it works out for you. Just one word of advice, I noticed problems before when my router was running 24/7. I now reboot the router once a week and I dont have any strange issues with it. Like most bootable hardware, a reboot every now & helps to purge all the temporary garbage that builds up over time and reloads the fresh image to start over..

    Bang on mrgmx, we had to apt-get install libssl0.9.8:i386 & update a few other system settings but after an bit on TeamViewer we had Oscam back up n running. This perticular problems was caused by a mixture of missing system files & version of oscam that was not compiled for his perticular setup. Only time will tell if the new version of oscam irons out a few of the glitches with AfyB's setup.

    would it be recommended that I should use CCCam to share as all clients connect to Oscam via CCCam?

    Cant say m8, its usually your own preferences but I can tell you that my oscam/cccam2.13 setup is rock solid and I never have a problem with it (Apart from when I cause it messing around). I suppose you could give ur current setup a few hours more for testing & make notes of any/all the problems & times & check them against ur logs. That way it will be easier to identify the next problems & hopefully easier to repair.

    OK, well then it looks like oscam is not running. If you accidentally ran

    Code
    sudo killall -9 oscam

    twice, you would have gotten the error because the process was already stopped.

    can you access the oscam webif?
    Actually m8, were having so many problems here I am just going to ask you to confirm a few things.
    1... What are you using for a server? Box, Linux PC Server (If so, Ubuntu / Debian)
    2... If its a Linux PC Server, What install package did you use?
