Hello. I have 2 OSCAM servers. Server A and Server B. Server B is made up of proxy readers. How can I add Server B as a proxy reader in server A?
Server B oscam.conf
Server B user.conf
Server A oscam.server
Code[reader] label = EpicStuffHere protocol = cccam device = 10.0.1.200,12000 user = chris password = SuperSecretPassword group = 1 dropbadcws = 1 cccversion = 2.3.2 ccckeepalive = 1
With this config it connects, but it says connected to 0 of x cards.
What should I check to figure out why I don't connect to any cards?
Is cccam even the best method of linking the servers?
Thanks,
Chris

I find it hard to believe that there is more money in locking their services to a box. Especially when they are so cheap. Surely being able to sell to anyone with oscam, cccam etc would be more profitable?
Well tighter encryption will hurt the providers. Instead of pirates buying the basic package (tv, internet, phone), then getting the premium channels through sharing on a second box, they give the providers none of their money and go with IPTV.
-
I don't understand why these companies have to lock their services to a box and not just support an open standard. They can ban multiple requests and the worst case scenario is someone shares cache...
-
I have no problems with pay servers. But I do have a problem with having to buy a crappy box... or any box. I use a Linux PC server for my tv.
-
Right OK. See some of the internet says it is dead, and other places say it works still. Then there are the key files which seem to still include dead channels.
-
Do you have afn working?
There are emms and keys in that file I was linked and I am using.
So it could just be a case of waiting for whenever it is they send the update... assuming the keys I have are even good.
My setup is a motor setup, so I cant just leave it tuned as it will stop me watching other stuff. I have left it for a couple hours with no luck though.
-
Hello. Does anyone know of any settings that only include the channels that can be descrambled?
Thanks,
Chris
-
Ah OK so you need to know the magic settings.
There is an Irdeto 2 section in there.... I thought that was super secure?
-
I had no idea. I thought powervu was easy to beat.
I assume a lot of the stuff in that softcam.key file doesn't work then? Do you not think it might be worth commenting out or removing the dead channels to stop any confusion?
-
Right OK but does it mean it is working out the key or does it mean that it is not?
This is what I have now trying to do AFN sports on 9.0E. It has been going for much longer than the discovery channels and bet fred on 4.9E

Ah right well that explains why I have been having no success then.
It seems to take 3-5 mins to calculate the keys, which from what I have read seems about right?
Is there anyway to tell if its working by checking the live log vs not working?
Thanks
-
Thanks for the replies guys. Sorry, yes I already have `stream_relay_enabled = 0` ... I forgot to add it back while I was testing.
I'm not sure how or why, but it just started working!I recompiled oscam and used the file VangelisGi linked. Not sure which was the fix.
Can you explain the difference between the universal hash and the other one?

Hello I was wondering if anyone can take a look at my config and suggest why my keys don't appear to be automatically updating.
I have looked at many guides and configs now and none of them seem to do anything.... I must be missing something.
I have reverted my settings to what I think are the current up-to-date options.

My current key file is the latest (04-11-2020) from Informed
I don't know if there is anything specific I need to change in TVHeadend... I have the CW Mode set to standard/auto
Can anyone see anything that is wrong in my setup?
Should the OSCAM live log tell me if its trying to calculate the key? It doesn't appear to be doing anything other than reporting not found.
Thanks,
Chris
EDIT: After clicking on the "2" in the live log, it looks like its trying to do something?

Hi. Do you mean an old/expired card and what channels would that open that you cant already get FTA?
-
Depends what you are after.
A few channels still worked on VM (just some FTA and a couple others) before I disconnected it.
A lot of 28.2 still works (SD) but nothing with sky in the name and seemingly nothing owned by disney.
-
and _0_0_0 at the end is common for all references I do not know what it's for
Cheers mate. Never thought to ignore the trailing 0's. I knew the SID and the TID were hex.
The ":0:0:0:" are always 0 from what I understand

Hello. I was wondering if anyone could explain how the following part of the sat ref is determined?
1:0:1:1C26:83B:2:11A0000:0:0:0:
The "11A0000" part confuses me. I understand it represents the satellite, in this case "28.2E", but what sort of conversion is happening to turn 28.2 into 11A0000?
The SID and TID are in hex, but this doesn't appear to be?
Any help is appreciated.
Chris

Hi. I was wondering if someone could explain something to me.
In Enigma2 bouquet lists services are listed like this "1_0_19_1B1D_802_2_11A0000_0_0_0"
How is that generated?
