Btw, on your STB's/receiver's RCU (Remote Control Unit) one usually has a "File List" or "PVR" or some such button to enter "mounted devices".

Usually, it takes one to /media/hdd or /media folders.

At that point, if one presses the YELLOW button (=Bookmarks) one will be able to choose where to go on the level of the whole of E2.

You will be able to see all the properly mounted devices/partitions or network shared folders.

If one goes to "Internal flash" (/), then to /media > one will usually see:

    -net

    -usb

    -autofs

    -hdd.

If one chooses NET - one can then see all the network attached shared folders here explained... ;)

    Enjoy! :)

P.S. In Windows, for instance, one also has to make various folders "SHARED", of course...

A FEW NOTES ON MOUNTING SYNOLOGY NAS' SHARED FOLDERS IN PURE2

In Synology NAS, with its Linux OS, among other things, one must

    -create shared folders and

    -users, while

-giving both the NAS in general and them (users) static local IP addresses, then

-allow them into the NAS' shared folder, in various ways/places.

Have a look, I got into my Synology NAS via my net laptop/internet browser > input Username/Password > Control Panel and then one starts creating shared folders, users, allowing users into various folders (or not), then editing permissions and various parameters, network characteristics...... There's tons of ways of controlling your NAS - here are some of the steps:

    04aa2b1ecd.jpg

In one's (Windows or otherwise) PC one must allow the NAS in - in the firewall.

If one installs Synology Assistant Windows app one can get into the NAS via Windows Explorer, too (not just via your internet browser), as it installs drivers for Windows to be able to browse a Linux run machine.

    Synology NAS

Initially, one has to be careful to set it all up precisely, then it's a matter of giving the E2-run machine the same static address, each time one reinstalls Enigma2...

One must also create a user (say, ZgemmaH7 or Edision+) with the correct (static/manual) local network address and give the user all the privileges. You have both special privileges and Linux privileges.

In that case, when Enigma2 scans the local network for shared folders - one can mount NFS shared folders from there, as it is much easier. I do not do it manually, although for Windows shared folders (CIFS) I must do it manually (see below)...

    MENU > Setup > System > Network > Device setup > choose LAN (eth0) or WLAN (wlan0) >

Adapter settings > Use DHCP = NO, then give it a static address

    Nameserver settings > use

    1.1.1.1

    1.0.0.1

    8.8.8.8

8.8.4.4 (as described by me elsewhere...)

Network Browser/Mount Manager > Network Browser (wait for it 'till it scans your local/home network...)

P.S. In NFS/Linux (or Windows/CIFS) - if you set it up properly, as described - there is no need for adding your NAS (or WIndows) username and password, when E2 prompts you to do that.

This is what it looks like when one tries to mount Windows/CIFS shared folder:

THIS IS THE END RESULT IN YOUR STB POWERED BY PURE2

Abu, can you comment, please, on this remark/question I have: in PurE2 (so probably in all OE-A images) when you go to MENU > Setup > System > Customise > one can select:

    -Preferred tuner

    -Preferred tuner for recordings.

That should be sorted out, I think, when one plans to watch something and record something else, or stream (locally or over web), non? Just so one doesn't mess up a started recording, while zapping etc.

Also, what might be helpful is to set Alternative service tuner priority order, depending on one's HW, right?

Just one? You have native multiboot in there, which gives you many advantages.

What you want to stream etc.? If you have a provider of IPTV which uses some exotic codec - whoof, whoof...

    A "simple" answer:

    1) install (within 20 - 30 minutes)

    -DreamSatGR

    -OpenATV
    -OpenSPA

    -PurE2

    Test and see...

For PurE2, which I know best: when you install the streaming FNC plugins from Plugins > Extensions, you will also get:

    -Media Player 2

    -Sub Support

    -FFmpeg

    -ServiceApp

That means also Exteplayer3, which (in general) is better for streaming and playback...

Moreover, your appetite might grow, alongside your knowledge and experience, skills etc. You might want more...

So, it is good to invest a bit of time and good will, methinx...

The most info to support you properly on your journey you will see under my nick in PurE2, OSCam Emu and Zgemma H7 sections...

    Good luck and have fun!

No. Your H9S has a different HW and SW, so not possible!

Try different images/teams, different versions of images...

If not - HiTool and all that...

But if yours developed a fault with DDR RAM, like mine - you can forget about it or send it for repair (warranty?)...

If only you knew how much time, effort, dedication, sleepless nights, talent and struggle it took to do this...

Plus, how difficult a situation the author(s) is(are), with little or no free time...

    Feel free to try, please...

    Meantime > genres...

Or other FNC plugins dedicated to Series, HbbTV etc.

Which planet are you living on?

    We have 2 factors:

    Covid-19

Politics (Huawei are producing HiSilicon SoCs).

C-19 made it impossible to produce anything for quite a while. When it was restarted, production was full of "unfinished business" tails, the end of which we have not yet seen!

USofA has made it impossible for Huawei to operate in a normal manner, no matter which department.

Now, many manufacturers of STBs are trying to find the solution to the problem, something at least as capable as HiSilicon but also as cheap as HiSil! That meant a repositioning of the industry, which complication additionally made the production of components even more difficult.

H10 production depends not only on the SoCs but also on various modules, which are constantly being delayed and given the quantities necessary - this is a serious problem, over which Air Digital has no control!

Last I heard it's January, maybe February... Everything is ready for production but if they do not have all the components, which is not in their power....

So, please.... THINK A LITTLE BIT BEFORE YOU WRITE NONSENSE!!!!

Sadly, due to objective difficulties, whether C-19 or politically related, some of the suppliers of H10 components are constantly delaying the delivery of huge numbers of necessary parts, so assembly of H10 is once again delayed, through no fault of Zgemma.... :(

When we know anything new, more concrete, we shall let you know...

People ask me how to flash a new image from inside a PurE2, from USB stick to partitions 2-4, without repartitioning the whole flash... So, in short:

    1) Download an image of your choice and send it to a compatible USB stick (FAT32), unzipped! Do not unzip it!

    For instance, this one: http://sgcpm.com/satdreamgr-images-8/edision/osmio4kplus/

1a) For SatDreamGR team use the "multiboot" version of their files, for this purpose. Plug it into your Edision+ model.

1b) If you choose the other type it will delete everything on your STB's flash and repartition it, then install the image into 1st partition.

So, what we are doing here is installing an image without repartitioning, leaving all the other images as they were and installing this one into one of the partitions 2 - 4!

    2) Go to MENU > pManager > SW Manager > Flash on the fly > the STB will see both ONLINE and OFFLINE (= Downloaded) Images, like this:

    0f37c104700d534.jpg

    3) Now, press the green button... You get this:

    ba99084a5ea.jpg

So, choose the partition and press OK button...

    4) You will be asked if you want to make a backup of your settings - do as you wish...

    5) When done, flashing ensues...

    72505282e7d75fed7cc.jpg

    6) After it's finished you get this:

    d7d59540b57844d5f7d4b9cd7.jpg

    7) Press OK and EXIT a few times.

    8) Then, if you want to boot into the image you just flashed go to MENU > Standby/Restart > Multiboot Image Selector > have fun... :)
