Zgemma H7 is the most complete box that I know of, with the price-tag that is only about half or even a third of DMM or Vu boxes, which sometimes are struggling to do the same that H7 does easily...

It will continue to be produced for another 2-3 years, so support will continue!

Lots of full, detailed info in my threads... ;)

    Not enough info, m8...

You want to watch this TV in your truck, presumably when you are not driving...?

You would need an internet connection, if you mean either

    -CS or

    IPTV.

So, hotspot, I guess, would be needed, which means built-in WiFi module would do nicely...

    Or did I misunderstand?

Don't do it, if IPTV is also required.

The best Stalker in the business (with Ministra supported) is in Zgemma H7.

Choose the combination of tuners, plus to my mind, it's fabulously strong in all departments:

    -Sat/Terrestrial/Cable TV including Multistream (DVB-S2X)
    -IPTV

-Streaming (esp. with PurE2's FNC plugins!)

    -Playback

The most complete box, AFAIAC, for half or thrid of the price of Vu or DMM...

For more info find my posts... ;)

    Jesus, man...

If something is NOT working, what is the point of continuing to try to use it anyway? One must try something else!

For instance, I also have VOD films in my channel list (by CIefp).

If STOP button does not work - try instead the EXIT button.

If that does not work you try ^ or V buttons around the OK button!

Then, you can see that each VOD film link = a channel. So, treat it as a channel list and just behave as you normally go between channels, FCOL....

I never said it is an Android device!

Zgemma never said this is an Android device!

Their developers at some point changed the partitioning system and included an Android partition, probably hoping they would be able to develop Android for it as well - but it was not enough firepower in it, I guess. Eventually, after HOPING they would be able to - they had to give up on it, reluctantly.

However, when it was designed it was not designed as an Android machine! The first partitioning system did NOT have an Android partition. And when it was added, it was there JUST IN CASE, IF they manage to develop the Android for it. But there was never any kind of deception or definite promise on the part of Zgemma!!! Period!

There may have been good will on the part of their development team, that one day they MIGHT develop Android OS for it - but it was never advertised as such!

    -IMAGE_ROOTFS_SIZE = "614400"

    +IMAGE_ROOTFS_SIZE = "716800"

Recently, I was told Twin and Combo won't get Android. (It's too demanding, I presume...)

Twin/Combo SE will get Android. It will have a different HW, 16GB flash, DDR4 (not DDR3 like the first version).

I argued that in that case Android partition for the original Twin/Combo series should be removed, as it gives the wrong ideas to inexperienced users. Not sure if they listened to me but I have a feeling this is "it", more-or-less... Still waiting for a new working version of Recovery file to test that idea...

    Partitioning changed.

For now, simply use an older Recovery but you can then use the latest image, from my experience with other E2s....

    It depends on the user...

For me v. 6.5 is perfectly stable and usable...

If somebody isn't paying attention, doesn't wanna reflash when many files change - v. 6.3 is "it"...

On the other hand, everyone knows that 6.3 is not going through many changes, definitely nowhere near as many as v. 6.5.

Which is why - I presume - v. 6.3 is used as a first image for a DB One/Two alpha image. Otherwise, imagine a rookie in shooting practising on a moving target, instead of a static one...

    Ehhh...

Install SnackBar ipk file the usual way and restart E2.

    Press MENU > Setup > System > RC/Keyboard > Extra Button Setup.

Now, press either >> or << button. You will then see a number of choices...

Choose Plugins section and then go down 'till you see SnackBar, so choose it by pressing the OK button.

Now, press the green button (Save). EXIT button.

EXIT into the channel list and start a VOD film.

Press >> or << buttons and you will see the progress bar on TV screen.

Now, then: use buttons > or < around the OK button to choose how far FF or RW you want to go, then press OK. Magic!

    Voila!

P.S. If there is some kind of a function already assigned to a button you want to re-map/change, then first you need to deselect/de-assign the function first, Save it and exit. Go back and now you can do as above, to assign a function the way you want it....

The way you set it up. And it's all explained on the forum...

That Vu has a native Multiboot or are you using a spacial multiboot plugin for it?

    Booting from flash or HDD?

    Do you have:

    -PurE2 image,

    -which one,

-how did you mount the SATA HDD permanently - PRECISELY, IN DETAIL, please?

Did you read the relevant STICKY re. the mounting of USB/SATA devices in this section?

    Code
    <4>[ 1256.193934] UDF-fs: warning (device mmcblk0p1): udf_fill_super: No partition found (2)
    <4>[ 1256.252790] UDF-fs: warning (device mmcblk0p1): udf_fill_super: No partition found (2)
    <4>[ 1256.289180] UDF-fs: warning (device mmcblk0p3): udf_fill_super: No partition found (2)
    <4>[ 1256.348247] UDF-fs: warning (device mmcblk0p3): udf_fill_super: No partition found (2)

What do you have plugged in, which USB/SATA devices?

How did you mount them? Just lazy Automount or did you abolish it and mount your devices permanently?

Did you read the STICKIES in this section?

That might not be enough to many other people, so one needs to be much more precise when one sings praises....

How about audio-visual sync, for instance? Menu flickering? And feel free to contribute critically... ;)
